Well depending on your frame...that isnt really overweight! At all actually....but to be healthy...just eat right..eat lean meat (skinless chicken, turkey fish), veggies and fruit...eat a balanced diet. If you skip meals it will only slow down your metabolism which will store any fat you eat and it will make it harder to burn fat. So eat healthy, drink LOTS of water (6-8 glasses a day..more if you are excersizing or are in the sun a lot) and dont drink soda.....Just be healthy.
4'11"
103-113 small frame
111-123 medium frame
120-134 large frame
This is a height and weight chart for your height! Just remember you are going to get taller...so please dont starve...just have fun playing outside and being 12!!!!

The best way for someone your age to try to shed weight is to eat properly and get plenty of exercise. I know it is probably what you don't want to hear, but it is the best way. Make sure you eat, if you do not your body will go into starvation made and you will be worse off then when you started. Try plenty of fruits and veggies and drink tons of water. I know a lady that shed a ton of weight, simply by drinking a full glass of water before each meal, and one during. It is a natural appetite suppressant.
I find that some of the time when I think that I am hungry I am really thirsty.
I have also heard that if you eat a small amount of something, like nuts 30 minutes before you eat that helps you as well. But take it easy, talk to your guardian/parents and be smart about it by eating sensibly.
Good Luck

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

well, one thing to make sure you do is keep active. dont sit around the house all summer and just eat whenever you're bored. thats a wonderful way to pack the pounds on. you need to go outside and ride a bike, or take a jog, or even walk to a friends house. ask your parents to buy you some workout videos. just watch them and make an effort. even if you cant do it correctly, the effort you put into it will definitely help you to burn calories and lose weight. good luck hun.

an person-friendly eating ordinary - 24 on/24 off - may well be super for you. You consume 3 balanced foodstuff for at some point without sodas, chocolates, snacks, and so on...then day after right this moment, enable your self a actual looking volume of despite. do exactly no longer over due the despite on the off day and of direction, exerciser to help tone the physique. This helped me and my daughter whilst she became 12 years old.

I know you're going to hate this answer, but just exercise and cut out junk food. If you're 12 you are likely starting to grow vertically. Being 12 is not fun that way. Just worry about being healthy for now.

By getting involved in outside activities such as riding a bike or walking or skating...or by participating in sports activities. Also jumping rope will help. Watch the snacking between meals and try to eat healthy.
