I prefer riding a bike over jogging and was wondering if riding a bike help give you "buns of steel" so to speak. If not, Does anyone have any helpful tips, articles, sites, etc. on how to achieve a nice firm butt? Thanks for the help.

Riding a bike will help you burn calories, but it is not enough in itself. First of all bear in mind that because of the stresses placed on you in the cycling position, you need to be doing plenty of crunches, half sit-ups and leg raises to balance of the development. Also, you should be doing plenty of stretching for your legs, especially your thighs.
Now as far as a firm butt, I'd recommend after cycling to do squats, lunges, and deadlifts, either with or without weight, to tone your muscles and give yourself something to show when the fat burns off.

No, a bike will build up your calf muscles though.
The best thing for your butt is squats, holding weights.
