I'm 13 and by the time school starts again (8 or 9 weeks) I want to have lost about 15 pounds, I weigh about 122 pounds, what's the best way to lose weight quickly without pills, I excercise usually every day (yoga, treadmill, and other stuff), I also eat pretty healthy and only eat fast food once or twice every two weeks, I also don't eat a lot, drink lots of water and hardly ever drink soda (once or twice a month) please help, especially if you are around my age and have been through this before.

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

High I am around your age! Um,, I think you are doing really well if you want to eat healthily. I would go on a long run or short walk daily. I would also do excercises like sit-ups. Having lots of water is great! In the morning, you need to have something inside you so try a low-fat cereal like Special K with semi-skimmed milk. Just continue eating healthily- but avoid fatty foods. If you are hungry then eat! But opt for an apple rather than a cookie. Don't feel guilty when you treat yourself either. Just keep up the good work and don't fret! Plus you are still growing! And 122 pounds doesn't seem a lot to me- what is your height? Put the two on a BMI calculator to see if you are actually overweight.

The South Beach Diet worked great for me. I found it to be healthier than any of those other diets because it consisted of a very balanced diet. The first 2 weeks were hard because you can't have any carbs, but after that it becomes more like a way of life rather than a diet. I learned that there are so many healthy carbs to eat and that anything in moderation is good. I lost 20 pounds on this diet and I lost another ten after adding in yoga to my exercise routine. Everyone is different so my advice to you is try different things and don't give up--it took me many years to find what works for me.

Alright im a bit older than you but i know wat ur goin thru. So first things first: NOTEBOOK!! You haaave to have a notebook just to write in and keep your goals in mind. If there is a kid at school that makes you feel fat or a guy u really want to impress make sure you put that in your notebook. Also what i like to call "future notes" help aloooot!! You write a note about how much you want to weight on (for example) saturday. You then read the note that saturday and see if you have met your goal. It helps to keep you focused and remind you that you have to live up to that promise you made yourself! As for diet and excersing, I think your diet right now is fine but i think your excersizing needs to be kicked up a notch. Run on the treadmill ad much as you can untill u get tired. Record your time and then the next day try to beat that time by atleast one more minute. By the time school roles around you'll have lost those 15 lbs. Just keep in mind who's mouthes, you're gonna see drop on the first day of school!

Your still growing so even though your exercising and eating healthy, your still going to gain because your bones are maturing and your adding muscle where your supposed to.
How tall are you? If your 5 foot 4 or taller, your a perfect size, if your a little shorter, then just keep up with what your doing, you will grow into those 5 extra pounds.
Good for you for eating healthy and exercising, keep it up and you will be perfectly healthy!
