I don't beleive them one bit. I don't even want to THINK of reform till that border is secure. I've listened to their empty promises long enough. Show me the fence. Make English our official language. Wrap up that anchor baby loophole. Lets see some serious action here......

No, I don't believe they have any intention of securing the borders because they have done nothing about it so far. I would not believe anything they say they will do until I see the borders secured FIRST, the present laws being enforced SECOND, then talk about making some changes to immigration laws and quotas after the first two things are a done deal.

Particularly when this bill cuts in half the border patrol officers and fence required by law last year by a bill OVERWHELMINGLY voted for before the elections? They still disingenously say the bill will 'strengthen borders' but only because they did nothing to follow the law in building the fence required. An amendment was defeated that would have required the fence to be in place as a trigger before the guest worker program went into effect, as well. Another amendment was defeated that would have banned sanctuary cities.
I have no faith in them, at all.

They will not – and the truth is that Washington does not want new laws any more than it wants to enforce the existing laws. Nothing will ever be done about immigration, so you may as well quit worrying about things that you will never see.
The beneficiaries of illegal immigration are: 1) the Mexican government and 2.) US business (which means the same thing as US government). As long as the governments want the current system, it will stay the current system –get used to it. Politicians only use the immigration issue to get votes and then they forget about it.
A wall will never be built, and if built it will not work. The Mexican-US border has the third most legal international trade in the world. Nothing will be done that will interfere with this trade. Therefore, any wall would come with pre-built holes. Besides, this is not the 15th century and walls are not realistic defense structures.
Also, forget doing anything about the immigrants already here. There are 20 million illegal immigrants in America. By comparison, following Katrina, there were 100,000 people, gathered together, who wanted us to get them out of New Orleans. We could not retrieve 100,000 when we knew where they were and they wanted to be found. How are we ever going to round up 20,000,000 that are spread out throughout America, and who do not want to be found? We are not – because we cannot.
There certainly are decisions we have to make, but every possible ‘solution’ mentioned so far is just political hypocrisy and a stupid waste of time, energy, and money.

The question might be “seditious” if you were using it in terms of stimulating discussion, but it is ludicrous to consider calling our elected leaders names as sedition against the government. Moreover, Bush is a liar; and worse, he has murdered possibly hundreds of thousands of innocent people.
Ultimately, he may be responsible for the deaths of millions of Americans as well because his actions have so damaged America. Even the US State Department and Intelligence Agencies have concluded that Bush is responsible for increasing the number, strength, popularity, and success of terrorist organizations and that he has made America less safe than it was before 9/11.
Even if that were not true, calling politicians names is as American as apple pie.

Exactly! This is a world wide problem, illegal immigration. None of the established governments are having any effective results for this influx. Now why would that be? Are we in place for the One World Order? I can't find a more logical reason for lack of government enforcement.

Your comments about our elected representatives is seditious and contemptible. You have joined the same people who did the same thing to Former President Clinton.
That aside, it is a reasonable question.
Don't. Don't believe.
Act. Insist. Assume they will not (without spreading unfounded rumors or treating them as "guilty until proven innocent") and keep pushing for what you know is right, everyone.

Until we make the people that hire(pick up the illegals) to work for them for cash. And make them responsible for their actions we will have them here to work for cash under the table. Once we hold the people who hire illegals responsible ,the door is wide open.

It will never happen.
Big money benefits from illegal immigration.
Big money drives politics.
Big money drives legislation.
Our government is bought and paid for.
