If you are going to say that ALL Christians today are to blame for all the war and killings in history in the name of God,

then, if that is true, wouldn't it be like saying ALL white people today are responsible for black opression in the past?

Or, ALL white people are guilty of stealing land from the Indians in the past?

And please don't tell me that ALL the black oppressers and land stealers were Christian.

Wars have been going on all over the world long before Christianity was invented. Wars have been fought by people who never heard the name Christ.
It is true that many wars have been over religion, not just Christianity, though.

It is ludicrous to blame any one person for the atrocities of the past. I blame Christianity, not a single Christian.

The belief that one religion is the only true or correct way is inherently dangerous, as history has shown to be true.

I do not blame the Christians so much. But I do blame the Church.

"I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."
-- Mahatma Gandhi

The problem with the Christians is that so few of them question the Church's doctrines and positions. Most of which have little or nothing to do with what Jesus said and did, but more to do with the fears and phobias of generations of Church leaders.
