I heard VITAMN D is very good for preventing cancer

Milk, rice, soy, margarine, salmon, and tuna are GREAT for Vitamin D! But this is important: Vitamin D only helps prevent cancer because it helps you absorb CALCIUM! So remember to back your daily Vitamin D intake with Calcium sources like milk, yogurt, cheese, soy, tofu, beans, nuts, salmon, and sardines. Apparently, some sources like milk, soy, and salmon are both chock full of Vitamin D AND Calcium, so you might want to stick with those!

If anti cancer foods is what you want, however, you need anti oxident foods. These include

oods rich in antioxidant properties:

* Spinach
* Brussel sprouts
* Broccoli
* Alfalfa sprouts
* Onion
* Corn
* Eggplant

* Red bell pepper
* Raisins
* Prunes
* Blackberries, strawberries, raspberries
* Plums

you can get all you need from 15 minutes of sun exposure on as much skin as you can expose (no sunscreen). this short time won't give you a burn (depending on where you live but most likely not). this is the way your body is supposed to get it. fortified foods is a recent thing. most fortified foods use substandard additives that are damaged in processing (high heat, added chemicals to prolong shelf life).

Kay you're in luck! vitamin D is in milk, meat and.......sunshine! All vitamins may prevent cancer in moderation. Its neccessary for preventing thyroid problems too.....
