Yep. You do the crime, you have to do the time. Money shouldn't be able to buy you "justice."

Ok, first off Paris hilton is a spoiled brat child (She may be over 18 but she's a kid) She was heard in the courtroom screaming "This isn't fair! MOOMMMMM!" So she thinks Mommy's gonna get her a$$ out. NO WAY! This girl is an overgrown baby. Just cause she makes sex tapes, drinks, smokes, and drive. Does NOT make her grown.

Who would look up to this woman. I for sure would not.

She can spend her time in jail for the whole 45 days. Personally I don't think she deserve a private cell. She's not a murderer or anything so she belongs in a cell with everyone else. Let the skank get a$$ raped! see if anyone cares...

I finally read the news item about Hilton. Apparently, she was ticketed and "let go" many times, prior to being arrested. She was warned several times and given opportunities to clean up her act. She ignored every requirement for probation, and for rehab... she just danced on every consequence handed to her... and continued driving drunk.

She may be a fragile poor little rich girl, but, regardless, she's definitely a danger to the public! What's it gonna take for her to realize that drinking and driving don't mix for anyone, rich or poor? Is someone going to have to die to prove this to her?

Hilton was probably already given more opportunities than the average citizen, to come clean... but she brushed those opportunites aside... she chose to be a danger to the public, and, consequently, chose jail time. She deserves to spend the entire time in jail... she probably will not.

not only should she be in jail but she should be in the general population, and then they should post the video on youtube from the jails closed circuit video of Hilton getting the crap kicked out of her while some of the "same sex" inmates shove things where Hilton would never dream of
(wait, its Paris Hilton, she probably hasn't only dreamed of it but done it in front of a audience all ready)

Of course! Just because she is a celebrity does NOT mean she gets off early. She's a human being like us and she did something against the law. A perfect body or supermodel looks do not make up for the 45 days.

I hope she stays the full 45 days and not a day sooner. Just because she's famous with lots of money doesn't mean she should get off easy. That wouldn't be right or fair to everybody else who's got into that kind of trouble with DUIs.

It's a very pitiful reflection of the state of our society that things happened the way they did. I feel the worst for Paris though . . . The greatest affliction is to never have been afflicted.

I think she should be in for the full.I mean there is no reason to treat a celberty differently than a normal person when it comes to the law.She should have to go her full 45 days!

Hilton, or anyone else caught DWI, should do the maximum time allowed.

Why?
To deter them from ever driving while intoxicated.

She was fortunate no one was harmed this time.
There should not be a NEXT time.

If you do not enforce court judgments [sentences] handed down by judges, then this is a mockery of the entire criminal justice system, why even arrest people for crimes. Let people do what they want and have complete pandemonium.

I don't know why people care about the lives of celebrities so much. You don't even personally know them, their lives affect you in no direct way. Put down the tabloids and do something to better your own life.
