I've been told that if you put toothpaste on your acne is gets ride of it. Is it true?

I had a cousin who, once long ago, awoke from a "night-out-on-the-town" and groggily tried using toothpaste as shaving cream. He realized pretty quickly he made a mistake and cleaned his face and used shaving cream instead. He wasn't having any acne problem so I can't address that issue, but your question brought back that very humorous occasion of 40-45 years ago, and I just had to tell you about it. I hope that's okay. God Bless you.

It helps dry them out so most of the time if helps. I find it calms things down, I don't know if it is the mint or not since I use the natural type toothpastes so the ingredient are different than what's in the regular toothpastes.

it does not get rid of it, but it helps dry it, a better way to rid acne is use oxy it has benzoyl peroxide that zaps them away like magic

It worked for me. Just dab some of it on your spots and leave it on overnight. It stings a little though.
