Why do people now like calling themselves a god or nickname themselves after characters in the Bible.

I have no problem with people who's names came from the Bible (like Jacob, or David, Rebecca or Ester), But there are people calling themselves the messiah, when the Bible states that when Jesus comes back we will know just like you can see lightning in the east from the west we'll be able to see God when he comes again

Because they have no brains and no intelligence and i know there is only 1 God which is the holy spirit, the creator, the messiah, and the first ten commandment is when God said thou shall not have any other God before him-meaning there is no other god and never will be and dont worship someone like a god.

Jesus said that many would come in His name and claim to be Him. These are false Christs, mimicking Jesus. Jesus has told us all these things so we will be ready when He comes. He also said don't go if someone says He (Jesus) is here or there. We will know when Jesus comes. His sheep know His voice. When He comes back to call us up, we will know it is Him. He gives us signs of His coming, but no one will know the day or the hour. That's why we must always be ready. Are you ready if He comes today? Are you right with the Lord? Can you say that you are going with Him? Jesus says "Keep watch!"

The body of christ can be seen coming in the saints. He is coming in and through his people, a prevailing overcoming company, the ones that are led by his spirit and power. As to people who call themselves such things dont be stalled or sidetracked, let the spirit guide you.

Names are in two form , one is thier parents that give. The other is they nickname themself.
There is nothing wrong with them it is thier parent that name them. If they nick name as Messiah etc they are out of thier mine. So dont worry to much because name can be very funny. Like Waterspoon, Black, Stone, Byrd.

This is an easy question to answer.

The insane asylums are full of Napoleons and other powerful leaders of men.

It is simple for a mind that has parted from reality to proclaim itself as most powerful. Hence, the term "simple mindedness".

Greetings Friend,

I want you to know upfront that I am not attacking you. I just want to give you something to think about. You use the Bible, so will I. Whose image were "you" created in. Genesis 1.26 says that you were created in God's (Elohim the plural form of El, which is God) image and likeness. Jesus quoting Psalm 82.6, said in John 10.34, "Is it not written in your law, 'I have said you are gods (again the quote for gods is Elohim).'" Then Jesus says, "The scripture cannot be broken."

Could it be that we are all gods not knowing who we are. Could it be that we were created in God's image but we turned around and remade ourselves into images that we wanted to be. We think we are this or that and because of those believe we behave that way. However, who we really are is who God created us to be - not who we think we are. Maybe you could look at it like this: we are all human. No, we are not the sum total of all humanity but the essence of all humanity is in us. No, we may not be the totality of God but the essence of God is in us.

sending love,

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."

I am not god, I am a god because I was created in his image, and he has given all his children the same power he has. We just don't use it, or know how. That's in the bible too, you know.

It all stems back to the Original Sin...
Lucifer wanted to be God...and when he couldn't he tried to convince Adam and Eve that they could be God...

It is quite literally the oldest lie in history
