I thought that was the opposite of what Jesus wanted. Didn't Jesus hang out with the sinners and the "bad" crowd. Why are these holy rollers so anti everything? Live and let live. Let God be the judge.

I think you meant to say, "Why are some Christians"...
I am a faithful follower of God and I have never acted the way you are saying..
Yes, we are to go to the non believers and witness. My witnessing is not being pushy or damning them if they don't believe, that is not my job as judge..
I have gone in the inner city and invited children to vacation bible school and many came and had such a wonderful time...

Jesus preached to "the sinners and the "bad" crowd", but He did not identify Himself with their practices. These "holy rollers" are anti-sin. The point, as others have said, is not to judge. Rather to point sinners to God's direction for them as spelled out in His Word, the Holy Bible.

"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine."
2 Ti 4:2

Because most of today's Christians are not even born again, they are just religious. If a person is really and truly saved they will not be judgemental, they will have love and compassion for the unsaved.

And the "holy rollers" are so against everything because they strictly stick to the Bible. They believe what Jesus said about living holy was true and they do it. Although it's sad to say that most of them even are the same way as other Christians. America is just in a great need of revival.

That's a common misconception. Judging and warning can easily be mistaken for each other. Are atheists not just as judgmental? They think that those who believe are stupid, gullible, judgmental, self-righteous, etc.
There are so many others out there. Don't make a blanket statement. We are individuals. Don't label us. One Christian is not like every other. Most have different convictions, different levels of what they think is moral. Some won't wear make-up, and yet some wear bikinis. Personally I see nothing wrong with a little cover-up makeup, but I will not degrade myself and become an object by wearing a bikini or any other swimwear in mixed company. I just don't want men to be that familiar with me and have that image forever in their minds. God tells us not to stumble our brother. I think we should respect them and try. I'm just saying don't say that we are; I beg to disagree. God bless.

Well I'm not a Christian but what you are doing is making a generalization and a very bad one at that as not all Christians are the same just like no two Agnostics, or Atheists are the same either. There are people of all groups who are immature and judgemental as well. I agree with Randy G on this one.

What the Bible actually says is judge not, lest you be judged by the same standard you judge others with. In other words, it warns against hypocrisy – condemning someone for the very same thing that you are doing. An example would be condemning a whole group of people – Christians - for being judgmental, even while you are being judgmental about them.

Where did you get your information from? Is there a study I haven't seen to this effect? I am a Christian and I love everybody regardless of what they think. I do not judge, characterize, marginalize, or label anybody, it isn't in a true Christians nature. Maybe you speak of fake Christians, people who claim to be christian but don't live like Christians, in this case that would make them non-christian thus making this a mute question.

Yea, as a regular church goer, I used to wonder about this myself, until it occurred to me that there are immature people everywhere. Immature people are always judgmental irregardless of their beliefs (or lack thereof). Non-religious people simply judge you about different things (like your weight, your shoes, your ability to dance, whether you are cool or not, etc.).

So don't just single out religious people. You can find immature, superficial, judgmental people at the club, bar or ballgame too. Think about the last time a girl made fun of you simply because you didn't know what to say (Didn't she laugh at you, and call you "lame"? I doubt she was religious, but she was judgment all the same, now wasn't she?).

Christians need to be aware of sin...and speak out against it at every opportunity. However, they also have to accept that fact that all are sinners..including themselves and they don't have the right to condemn anyone for it. In otherwords...as Jesus did...He hated the sin...but did not hate the sinner.

2Tim.3:1-17; Some people you must turn away from, or you can not be said to be any different than they are.

Matt.10:34-36; Some people, even family, turn away from those who side with Christ and his word.

Give God and Christ space to handle difficult times that are almost impossible for a human to deal with, they know the ones that will not be against them when the time comes, a few words for them and the word, is the most one can hope for.
