Sure, they can grow an ear on a mouses back, clone living things, explain physics, and why crayons come in different colors, but if science is the answer, then why can't we travel to the next galaxy, or time travel, or go to the bottom of the ocean, or predict what will happen in the future? Hmmm?

im not really sure what your asking, but in response to other people's answers:
it has been proven. life cannot form from non-living material. like Paseaur. he did all those experiments with bacteria and such, and proved that life cannot come from something that isnt already alive.

Well, I have no idea. -Except that there are some things which are imaginable, yet remain impossible. Time travel, for one, is likely negated by the paradoxes that could potentially arise, similar to ones on the long list of paradoxes generated by theism.
There will never be an end to the open questions of our existence. That uncertainty is where religion came from, and is the reason that science and religion do not necessarily contradict. The conflict arises only when people cling to irrational beliefs, such as insisting on living based on a literal interpretation of ancient religious texts.
Why don't you just ask science to create a god? If they can't, you'll claim victory. If they can, well then, we finally got something worth worshipping.

Who says they can't?
Oh wait... you mean "why don't we know everything there is to know right this second".
Don't be ridiculous. Science does not claim to know everything there is to know. They are not gods. Its the Christians that claim they know everything because some 2000 year old book written by sheepherders who thought the earth was flat says so.
2000 years ago, no one would have even considered what we have today as being possible. Scientists are always discovering new things. And just because they don't know how to do something now, doesn't mean they won't later.
Honestly, what is wrong with the religious brain that that doesn't occur to them?
blackrose, well said.
No, honey, my eyes are wide open. Its yours that are closed because you simply can't think logically. You're one of those people that are stuck in the mode of thinking "science says it know s everything and that, if it doesn't, then it will never know the answers to anything". You actually think we've reached the apex of our civilization despite the fact that we discover new things every day.
Oh no, I'm not the blind one deary.

first off check out Albert Einstein, space-time distortion and worm whole theory before you question space travel and time travel
Clearly you are a smart a%$ who is ill informed
Science doesn't disprove god, it showed just how powerful he is
If you know your history, you know that complicated science has only been around for a short period and grows exponentially. But you cant rush it. We will have the technology for space travel if we can harvest enough energy. and we travel to the bottom of the ocean, with thermal satellite technology.
Before you get smart and try to give an attitude, be smart and do your research.
I love science because it helps us discover a mysterious world around us that we will never fully understand..
why is that?... well We are not God!
PS for someone who is so concerened about the existance of a creator, you sure as hell dont seem to want to follow him

I gave you my opinion, youre cheap shot furthure prooves my point

WHAT do you mean 'They started with genes'? They made those genes out of nucleotides, as is now routinely done for hundreds of different uses.
It's now possible to buy a machine that you can simply type in the nucleotide sequence desired, and the machine will build thousands of DNA copies to your specifications.
Indeed, gene makers are even adding their own company logos, written in mRNA amino acid triplets, onto the new genes they create.
If you're going to ask such questions, at least have the sense to understand the answers.

You have made a poor argument. While we can't do those things now, what makes you assume we will never be able to do them? Reiligion is based on the past; it does not move forward unless it must. Science is moving ever-forward; the past serves only as the basis for what comes next.
Isn't cloning creating synthetic life? If we ever cloned humans, would they have been created, or will they be natural? Uh oh, I hear the sound of a few religions crashing down.

Science has a theory about the 'big bang'. Evolution is a proven fact but what started life to begin with is only a theory. There is no proof one way or the other in regards to the existence of God.

we cannot produce life (other than cloning) for the same reason romans could not create a computer. the ysimply didnt know how. this absolutey doesnt mean we ever will or will not.
the principal of science is to question everything until it is proven. and since things cannot be 100% proven, youll always need to keep questioning.

There need not be any "real" proof for evolution because it's proof in itself.
Why isn't there any "proof" of god? Please.
"BUT OMGZ WAT BOUT DA BIBLEZ?!"
It's a nice book. There are a lot of books. Hitler even wrote a book. And the bible was written 2,000 years ago by people who were dumber and more naive than the retarded culture we live in today.
Science is fact, religion is faith. Faith is nothing more than placing hope in an idea/thought. The thought or idea of a higher power is irrational and outwardly failsafe at best.

Actually, we HAVE formed life from non-life. Viruses have been formed in the lab from basic materials.
We CAN travel to the next galaxy. It would just take a long time.
We CAN time travel - it would just take pretty much all the energy in the universe, and there's no getting around that.
We HAVE been to the bottom of the ocean.
The future is not set. We can only predict general trends - like global warming.
So that would mean that there's no god, right? OK, glad we cleared that up.

Science has created life, we have been to the bottom of the ocean and we are on a trip to the next galaxy. Time travel has been mathmatically shown to be impossible. So please tell me where god is on the bottom of the ocean, should he have gone there. Please domonstrate time travel for me and since Nostradamous pridicted the future and is not considered god show me where your god predicted the future.
