Whenever life's getting you down, Mrs Brown, and things seem hard or tough... and people are stupid, obnoxious or daft, and you feel that you've had quite enough, just remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving, and revolving at 900 miles an hour. That's orbiting at nineteen miles a second, so it's reconed, the sun that is the source of all our power. The sun and you and me, and all the stars that we can see are moving at a million miles a day in an outer spiral arm at 60,000 miles an hour, in the galaxy we call the milky way!
^^^ that's the first verse of the Galaxy Song, btw. All from memory to... no copy and paste for me ^_^

When life is unbearable, I decide that I am too self-focused. Then I find a way to help someone else, and the more I do of that, the better my life gets.
Just try to pick someone who will be grateful.

I never find life unbearable. No matter what happens, all things are temporary. I'm sure when I was young I may have felt that I couldn't stand the pain....but somehow I managed to get through it...and survive. Now in my old age, like I said...all things are temporary...including me.

Sit quietly, pray, and meditate usually, but sometimes I let it out and vent when others are around and I'm sure they do not want to hear that. This happens in cycles...whatever is unbearable will pass and more pleasant times are on the horizon.

I have learned that we can wallow in despair or we can dwell in self pity. We have the power to choose to be hurt or pull ourselves out of the mud of sorrow. Sometimes people get stuck in the mud and if you hang long enough, you get used to hanging and attract to yourself things that can pull you down because misery starts to feel good and it loves company. I now pray for help. Really we need to keep a daily communication with God, rather than waiting until the crap hits the fan. Living rightly helps to bring you into a space that less happens in your life to bring lessons and upset. Like a traffic collision, you are not in them because you tend to be in a different space. Look inside yourself to change things, not outside. If you don't like a situation, think how you can change
it. You have the ability, so think on it instead of doing nothing.

I don't find life unbearable. There are just too many things to be thankful for. Concentrate on those, and all problems dwindle away to insignificance.

Whenever I feel afraid
I hold my head erect
And whistle a happy tune
So no one will suspect
I'm Afraid.
While shivering in my shoes
I strike a careless pose
And whistle a happy tune
And no one ever knows I'm afraid.
The result of this deception
Is very strange to tell
For when I fool the people I fear
I fool myself as well!
I whistle a happy tune
And ev'ry single time
The happiness in the tune
Convinces me that I'm not afraid.
Make believe you're brave
And the trick will take you far.
You may be as brave
As you make believe you are

try doing something for someone else. A little service can lift your soul and lighten your load. It might sound backwards, but focusing on what you can do for someone else helps.
It can be a very small service to start with, as simple as holding a door open for someone at the store. It can be anonymous.
It works every time.
Hope you feel better.

I turn to the knowledge that as long as there is a day with a next one coming, I can do something to make things better.
It's fine to set and moop, pray, or whatever floats your boat for a few but it doesn't really do anything to make things better knowing that you can go in there and do something for yourself and get it done does. If you know that you can change it and it is changable by all means do.

I cry out to God, usually as I'm literally crying. I don't actually speak... I always pray very quietly. But the emotion is there, even if it isn't in my voice. God always knows what I need before I know myself, and He comforts me when I need it. The last time I was feeling despondent, a friend happened to call with a question; she needed my advice about something. It really helps your viewpoint when you are able to help others. I don't know if God timed it so that she needed help just when I needed to GIVE help in order to BE helped... but that is what happened.
