I'd have probably freaked!
I was raised United Methodist, and their about the mildest of the Christians. If I'd been raised Pentecostal...I'd probably be an axe murderer!

I wasn't born into any religion. I don't know how my life would have been different if I was. My parents both had their own individual beliefs and never pushed either of them on to me.

I doubt that I would be as open-minded as I am towards people of other faiths if I had not grown up in a home with open-minded parents.

The BORN-AGAIN Experience comes from Salvation thru Jesus Christ! >> NO RELIGION! >> Such a Big Difference! >> I'm So Thankful for the Little Church that was on the Corner, when I was a child>>>and they taught Salvation in my class-room. (Straight from the Bible.) I accepted Jesus as my Savior, and was Born-again. >>, Then Jesus took over My Life. He Is still Guiding Me and Caring for Me. >>>>>Such a wonderful Friend, to Have and Know. (smile) + + +

If I had been born into another religion, I think I probably wouldn't have been close-minded, I would at least look at other religions before I made my final decision.

I guess I would live the best way I know how as whatever religion I was. But I like who I am.

I was. Didn't stick. :-)

Do you mean a different one from the one I *was* born into? *shrug* I suppose I'd have ended up heathen a bit sooner, actually.

Pentecostalism leaves you with a LOT of baggage to shed.

there are a lot of "what ifs"

I go with what is

what scares me is what religions want so much to be true, vs what is

I can't say, but my parents were raised Roman Catholic on one side, Christian Orthodox on the other side, but both parent abandoned it for Pentecostal freak show modern health/wealth garbage on TBN

I left that for atheism and it was so loony I had to question own faith and realized neither my parents understood nor I knew what I believed outside of doctrines and coercion

i wasnt really born into any religion. my parents never make me go to church. my mom told me about God when i was little, but i always thought He was sort of make-believe. so then last year, one of my friends asked me to go to their youth group. i went and from there my relationship with God and faith grew.
