I was just wondering how the waiting list is for pfc's to specialists is. If i have to live off base, I have a wife and to children. my wife is an lpn(nurse) what are the better areas to love in around fort bliss and which ones to stay away from. I would like to rent a house in a nice area and have the ability to send my kids to a nice elementary school and day care. also an area where there are hospitals nearby. any help will be appreciated.

I used to go to El Paso for work a lot. The east side is the older homes, the west newer and were the country club is. Mind ya housing cost there is lower than many other parts of the country. The town is not so big you would be far from anything you might need. Base housing people should be able to help.

Beware of sopapilla. They can cause rapid growth. Lot's of good food, plenty of shopping and despite what others might say there are plenty of places to take the kids in the surrounding 100 miles
