Personally, I like to make thank-you notes on the computer. Then I can express my feelings in my own way and don't have to depend on other people's words. I also make cards for various occasions. People seem to appreciate the time and effort it takes to make a personal statement to each person. In the note you can mention each individual gift just by changing a word or two. I would definitely prefer to receive a thank-you note made especially for me.

Homemade is a very thoughtful idea. I'm sure people would appreciate it more if you made them but you can get some nice ones from the shop either way it's the thought that counts.

Store bought ones are always nice, and they aren't as time consuming as homemade ones; however, if you are creative and know how to make nice homemade thank you cards, I say go ahead.
