I just met this really smart, fun nice guy. He said he really enjoyed meeting me and talking to me and gave me his number. I have every intention of calling him, but how long should I wait? I don't want to be over eager but I don't want him to forget me.

I've heard of a 3-day rule. But honestly, those rules are silly. If you like him and he expressed interest in you too, then give him a call whenever you'd like. The same day would be extreme, but after that...and make sure it is a reasonable hour. I had a guy call me at 2 am - not the right time!

Whenever you feel you should...if you can't be yourself around him...why would you want to date him.
If he's really put off by your calling to soon...after HE gave you his #...what kind of healthy relationship can develop from that??
Your not being a "drama queen" or being "clingy" to call someone within a day or two...unless when you call you act like a "clingy drama queen" :o)
I waited 10 days once...and almost missed out on the love of a lifetime!!

There's actually a "3 day rule". Long enough to not seem over-eager, but short enough to look interested.
Give him a call and say something like, "it was really great to meet you the other day, I felt like we had a few things in common and I was thinking we could head to Coldstone and spend the afternoon together."
Something like that...

Wait about 5-6 days. That way it shows you didn't forget him, lol And that you wont appear too eager.

I'd suggest waiting about a day to call, then you don't seem over-eager or forgetfull.

i think you should call in a couple days just so he doesn't think you're a loser with no life. A guy likes a good chase before he gets his prize.
