Lot of questions, here -
1 - swelling caused by ultra-sensitivity to bug saliva
2 - wipe bite area with alcohol, then witch hazel, then campho phenique (has a numbing quality)
3 - just hold her (rocking is soothing) until the treatment causes the stinging and itching to subside
Best wishes for your nerves (and her comfort)

If the topical creams would possibly not paintings, take a look at an over-the-counter alergy healing. This will manage the histamines that rationale plenty of the itching. BUT.. provided that the man or woman might customarily take this kind of healing. Aloe gel will even supply a few elementary alleviation. The well information is that almost all computer virus bites give up itching after an afternoon or so... (however that does not support for that day - does it?) well good fortune... .

Owie indeed!
First, have her checked for allergies.
Next, try to keep her from getting bitten in the first place. You might want to dab apple cider vinegar on all the exposed skin. She might smell like a pickle, but it would be safer for her than some of the commercial bug repellants.
Also, try the vinegar and alcohol on the bites she already has. It will give temporary relief at least.
Good luck!

Poor baby!! She is having an allergic reaction...When she is going out doors spray insect repellent....and to treat the bites...a stick called After Bite..it is Ammonia 3.5% ..you can even use diluted household ammonia on a cottonball. Cool baths will help while warm ones will cause more itching...if it's really bad...sudefed will help...I know because I'm allergic to all bug bites.....hope this helps.
