Dad is 4 pounds. How can i tell what size the puppie will turn out to be as an adult? Also without papers will i be able to get shots and all the rest of the things needed?

It's a backyard breeder. Plan on a lot in vet costs.

However I'm questioning spending $500 for a puppy with no papers.

I'd try shelters and Yorkie rescue groups. You could get a nice Yorkie for a fraction of $500 and save a life to boot.

i am not sure you are able to tell how small a dog will stay by its parents. my dogs parents were both about 18 lbs each, maybe more, and my dog weighs 11 lbs. she is full grown. but, more than likely, the dog will probably be right at or under ten pounds. yorkies are cute.

The only way you could find out is to spend the money to have a DNA test done to see if any crossbreeding had been done. But that would be expensive.
