You're going to jail for falsifying an official report, and receive a few traffic violations for good measure.

You will get in more trouble by lying on a police report. As for civil liability you will have to pay for the damage he caused. Just tell the truth as soon as you can and everything will be easier. You didn't really have big problems until you lied to police.

The American courts take a very dim view of allow a child to operate your vehicle. I am sure they will think up some nice monetary punishment for you.
Just thank God your not Paris Hilton. If you were, they'd probably throw you in an American prison for your traffic infraction.

If you report it stolen, you are getting the kid in trouble when you shouldve been the responsible one. Jail time? I dont know but definitely an issue will be raised there...probably fines/probation even.

child endangerment is one thing to worry about. And you can bet your insurance will either go up or be cancelled.
if you want to bail on the kid after giving him the keys yourself then file a stolen car report or unauthroized use of a vehicle report, etc.

Your insurance can get out of paying damages. You can be fined for allowing a minor to operate a car underage. You are legal responsible.

If you let a 14 year old borrow your car, you deserve to get thrown in jail. I don't know what the charge would be you'd still be an idiot.

Are you honestly asking advice on how to break the law?
You knew the kid wasn't supposed to be driving yet, sounds like you got off lucky having him only wreck in to a ditch.
Had he hurt or killed someone, you could and probably would be charged with criminal negligence.
