they should not be imployed, housed , given free health service, nothing. Then it would be no better than their own countrys for them over here and that might stop them bothering to come.

Well, as there seems to be a reasonable amount of "Black" work for them to do, perhaps some of our own "willing to be-unemployed" should be made to do the jobs for the "free money" that's handed out to them by the tax-paying public. Also what about the British employers of these people do they not need to prosecuted for employing them as well??

Its a pretty dim view to think that by adopting your idea to give them nothing will stop them coming here, or anywhere else in the E.U. for that matter, (in fact part of the agreements with the E.U. is the accepting of so called immigrants, the problem is to filter out the political asylum seekers from the Economic refugees).

To a certain extent the British Empire created this problem and it now has to deal with it.
I find it very strange, that on an island nation, so many illegals get into the country to start with.
Perhaps now is the correct time to introduce an identity card system as a form of control, they use it very well in Germany, for example I lived in Bavaria Germany for 5 years, it was not uncommon to see the German Border Police working the trains, looking for illegals, at bus stations, Supermarket car-parks, at the cinema and also on building / construction sites.
Anybody found to be without papers was arrested and after a few days, once the country of origin was known, they were deported.

More investment in the Department of Immigration, with more officers and controls being employed should be implemented immediately.

Also the French practice of turning a blind-eye to illegals hiding on lorries destined for the U.K. should be strongly protested at the E.U. the French mentality seems to even encourage them to go to the U.K as its one less more for the French system to deal with.

Some one is making it very easy for our countries to be overtaken by third world invaders. Don't you think that there has to be a whole lot more to it since no one's government officials are working diligently to fix this matter? Who is the real boogie man, are we being distracted?
