Conocer. Pedro conoce la ciudad muy bien.
Conocer: to find out by your own means what a thing or place is, and its characteristics, history... (I made out this definition, be careful)
Saber: it is deeper.

Saber is used when talking about places or facts...Conocer is used when talking about people...
