My husband and I call that the "raptor" sound, because when one cat makes it, the other usually comes running to assist in the "kill." :-)

Yes...one of my does but ONLY when she's looking out the window and sees a bird...it's kind of achittering noise. This is the only one of my cats who has ever made this type of sound....

Yes- this is a common cat behavior, especially when they see prey, like a bird outside the window or something like that.

my cats do it all the time, when watching birds outside or when they see a bug that's too high on the wall for them to reach... It's really kinda cute.
