Will you read, pray and ask God if The Book of Mormon, is God's word?

If not... why? Read Proverbs 18:13,15 He who answereth before he heareth the whole matter, it is shame and folly unto him.
James 1:5-6
5.)If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God who giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not and it shall be given him.
6.) but let him ask in faith, nothing wavering, for he that wavereth is like a wave upon the sea driven and tossed.

The name of the "Mormon church is actually the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints"
1. We do not think Jesus is only a prophet... He is the Redeemer of the World, the Messiah, The only begotten son of the Father, The great mediator.

2. The Book of Mormon is another Testament of Jesus Christ. Christ is the Corner stone of our faith.

3. So I don't need to pray again about what you wanted me to... I already know he is more than a prophet. Every true member of the LDS church knows this.

4. Thank you for your willingness to pray to the Father in the name of Christ... I have done so and I have recieved witness after witness of it's truthfulness.

5. Please read it, you really haven't heard the whole matter until you have.

have a great day:)

There's no need to pray on the issue, all the facts about the satanic lies of mormonism are easy to find if you want!

One of the things Mormons ask potential converts to do is to read the Book of Mormon and then pray to God and ask Him if the Book of Mormon is true. It is said that you will then receive a testimony from the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon is true, that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's restored church on earth today. It is difficult to counter this testimony because it is an emotional and, I believe, spiritual phenomena. I say spiritual but I am not saying it is of God; it is of the devil.

Mormons teach that if you are sincere and that if you ask God for wisdom as it says in James 1:5, that God will answer you and lead you into the truth. What could be more common sense than that?

There are several reasons why this approach to determining truth is dangerous. The the most important is as follows:

The Bible says that to determine truth you must examine the scriptures. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says that "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work" (NIV). Acts 17:11 says, "Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true" (NIV). If the Bereans compared what Paul the apostle said to scripture, should we do any less with Mormonism? Of course not. You don't pray about truth you look into the Bible for it. To begin with, the Mormons are going against scripture and trusting something unverifiable (except by their own subjective feelings, of which the Bible says not to trust, Jer. 17:9).

Thanks for trying to show what all us other LDS people know, that there can be word from God even now. Most people on here will, I'm sure, quote the last verse of Revelations to you, saying that we are adding to the bible, or that all revelation stopped with the bible. Although, if they really read their bibles, they would know that it says in Ezekiel 37:15-20 talks about other books to be written for the different lines.

This argument can go on and on. Until someone is willing to really pray about it all, and to actually read it with an open mind and open heart, they won't get an answer. It takes true faith that these things are possible. Until you are ready to have that faith, you won't get the answer to your question.

Also, most people are unwilling to see that maybe something outside their own little box could be true. They will believe what they have heard from people outside the church, or people who have fallen away, and will take it as fact. Without looking into the lies that are told.

Yes, spreading the word is a good thing, but until people are willing to hear what we really say, and don't twist it to their own purpose, there is almost no use in pushing the issue. Sad, but true!! We can still try, and I'm sure some seeds will be planted in their hearts, and maybe, just maybe, someone will take what we say and look into things from the right sources. That is all we can ask for right now. But good on you for trying!!!!

I did pray the prayer that the Mormons asked me a number of years ago. The answer was "no" and they aren't prepared for an answer like that. They suggested that I keep praying until I get a "yes". That hardly seems right to do this in the light of what Benjamin Franklin said about insanity (Doing the same thing twice and expecting different results.)

It amazes me how many people seem to think they are an expert in Mormon doctrine by watching SOUTH PARK???!!! You're right, it's dum dum dum dum! BTW, I suggest that reading anything by "dr" Walter Martin is to read crap. The man lies like a dog. Not only does he lie about what Mormons believe, he lies about himself as well. He even tried to get people to believe he was a direct descendant of Brigham Young. He didn't back down till he was exposed as the liar he was.

For the one saying read the last chapter of the bible.
that pertains to the book of revelation only.

To the ones who throw mud at praying to God and satan answers prayer....that' poppycock.

The Book of Mormon is True...We have living prophets.
God lives and no Jesus isn't a just a good prophet but the Son of God, The second person in the Godhead and he died for my sins.

The Mormon Classics "That's the spirit you feel" and "pray and ask God to know if these things are true"

Those are nothing more than psychological tricks people fall for while in the right state of mind.

Yes, the Book of Mormons is the word of GOD. In Daniel 7:9-10 in an assembly in heaven of 100 million divine beings, they opened books. Thus, it was not only one book but many books. Similarly, Joseph Smith is a prophet among the Mormons of the latter day saints. And the mormon church originated in the spirit from Smyrna Church founded among seven churches in Asia minor in 4BC by the apostles of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. The mormons pray to GOD called THE LAMB OF GOD.And this relationship is between THE LAMB OF GOD-THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, THE MEEKEST AMONG MEN-SAINTS AND THE MEEK OF MEN CALLED THE SAINTS. And the Mormons declare that the LORD JESUS CHRIST is the crown of life. Thus, the mormons church represents the life of the christian body. But the mormon church is not perfect like the other five mega-christian churches as GOD's comment that they are not courageous to die and with their blood nourishes a church to grow in that place of martyrdom. Instead the Mormons are cowering in fear and in the safety and comfort of their homes instead in far away places seeking their deaths or martyrdom as they will have the honor and glory to partake of the martyrdom of THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. THANKS GOD; FEAR GOD; PRAISE GOD; GLORIFY GOD; LOVE GOD AND WORSHIP GOD.

A few years ago, a Mormon told me that the Book of Mormon was the 'bread' for God's people on the North American continent, and that the Bible was the 'bread' for the people in Europe the Middle East, and Africa.
So I asked, why is it that, the person (Joseph Smith) who already had his 'bread' ( the Bible) needed to find the 'lost bread' of the Book of Mormon?
