my friend is like a little sister to me. she is 13 years old and hasn't started dating yet. she asked me what she should and should not do but I don't know what to say because I'm 17. I don't want to scare her into not liking guys from some of the bad experiences i have had.

Tell her that most guys in their teenage years don't really know what they want. Girls mature much faster. She needs to learn the word "no" and mean it. Once she gives "it" up, she's branded, especially being so young. After she finds the "right" guy, tell her to date him at least two years. He'll either wait with her or move on. Let him. Dating can be fun!

Because your are older she looks up to you and what you say and do yourself will be a big influence on her. Help her to see that she is smart and strong. Build up her self esteem, confidence will save her from the pressure to be some body she is not. Tell her about some of your regrets ex: that guy you hooked up with that you'll forever deny or cheesy lines that you fell for. Let her know that being 13 sucks its not easy and every body is not doing it. Help her find her comfort zone and stress that she shouldnt comprimise herself for anybody.
