I started weight watchers on Monday, and I've already screwed up. I'm on the points plan, and yesterday I wasn't able to use all my points. I had two left over. Is this going to mess everything up? Do I eat two extra today or do I just move on and make sure to eat all of mine today?

Don't panic! Enjoy the freedom of the points system. Soon you'll be able to calculate the points for almost anything right in your head. While it is good to eat all your points every day, the greatest thing about the point system is that you can save those extra points and use them later in the week. That doesn't mean you can gather them for a month, then binge for a week. It really helped me alleviate the guilt of days when I ate a little too much, to know I stayed within my range of points when I averaged it for the week. I would, however, recommend you begin eating at the lower end of your point range when your weight is approaching the level where you'll soon be moving down to the next lower range of points. It makes it easier. Good luck!

WEIGHT WATCHERS. That's the way to go. I joined Weight Watchers last year and lost 68 pounds. It is a fantastic program. What makes it so great is that you can eat anything you want. A point value is assigned to specific foods. You are allotted a certain number of points per day based on your weight. You choose how to use those points. For example a coke is 3 points. So is a boneless, skinless chicken breast. You decide, coke or chicken. It is truly a great program. It is the only program I know of that teaches how to change the way you eat. Studies have shown that Weight Watcher members keep the weight off for a longer period of time that other weight lose programs.

Hi, its good that you didnt use all of you points because now you can have that 2 points extra in the week, i think you can save a maxium of 4 points in the day so you can save up for special occassions etc.. But you must not go below 16 points in the day.

The 'point' is to stay under the recommended number of points, so 2 points below is not bad for one day. You may have a day later in the week where you go over the points for that day, so you will even it out for the week.

today is a new day, so just start again. i try to keep 2 pt. snacks around the house so if i run short at the end of the day i just grab one of those and i'm all set for the day. also i keep hot chocolate on hand, i get it from green mt. coffee and it's one point for a cup of that and then i put a little fluff on top of it, and that usually takes care of those last two points.
good luck!!!

You haven't messed up. It's not always easy eating all your points, especially at the beginning. Just move on and eat your points today.

don't worry about that...just eat normally today
the purpose of the points is not to go over them, going under is OK under 2 conditions:
if your organism can't take the whole points, but stays healthy
or if don't do it on purpose...
a friend of mine has gone under the assigned points because she thought she'll get thinner in a shorter period and this is dangerous and harmful, don't do it
good luck

You are allowed to carry up to 4 points over to the next day, so don't worry, you haven't screwed up.

My wife always leaves a few points, not using all of them.
lose weight faster. But not to many or your body hangs on to the weight thinking it is starving.
Actually she did better when she followed it perfectly.

Just because they give you an amount of points, it doesnt mean you have to use them all up.

Eat what ever you want, just dont go over your point limit.
