Yes. I have a brilliant mind, a great home, and a wonderful family.

I don't think I thought about how my life would turn out when I was a kid. Or I assumed I would continue to do the same things and have the same interests forever. The fact is people change constantly, and there is no static idea I ever had about how I would turn out. My idea of myself is different today from what it was yesterday, even if the change is imperceptible.

No. I thought that I would be married forever, have lots of kids, and teach school when my own children were in school.
Well, I did have lots of kids, but my husband was ill for many years, I am now a widow, and to this day I don't have my teaching degree (though I do have about 30 recent college credits).

Not a bit. I thought I'd never escape semi-detached provincial suburbia. I thought I'd never grow out of clumsy, gormless tactlessness - or learn to dot all my 'i's - or be free from criticism & disapproval wherever I happened to live.
To start with, I escaped - then met people who didn't mind, then widened my horizons & by the time I grew up, I didn't seem to be the same pain in the elbow.

Now you mention it, I think it hasn´t. Something is better, something is worse... but I don´t very often think about it because I still feel a kid. Who cares I am 31 and I teach students who are 20. I really do feel a child and sometimes I have to remind myself I have to behave a grownup

Let give u a comparison. The bull arena when the bull first comes it it is all his territory. After charging everything it is not long before they are able to walk up and kill the bull. This is how life is.

not a chance in hell it has, for one growing up as a young girl you picture the big wedding fairy tale life... farrrr from it... had my daughter got married to her father had our son and broke off our asses.... i dont think that parents and schools do enough to stress the importance of credit and money management at all. i certainly didnt picture it being near as hard as it has been.... im 28 now and were still struggling and having to get help from our parents
