i was wondering if i can get some kind of disease if i go swimming ? ? ? well gthe bird i s still alive i took it out with a net but it was drowning! so i had to save him/her. should i do anything with the pool since the bird was in it ? ? ?

people go swiming in lakes where there are all sorts of dead things in it and the ocean as well
it mite have been the clorene that made the bird sick
mabey you need to get the clorene out
thain youre pool will turn green so dont do it

It should be fine....most diseases are species specific...birds can only give birds a disease..there is not much of anything a bird can transmit to a human. Also, the chemicals in your pool would kill any sort of bacteria anyway. People swim in lakes and oceans ALL the time that have birds, bird feces, etc. in it and do not get sick.

Well beings you prob already had chemicals in your pool I would not be too worried about catching anything. If anything it would have done more harm to the bird being in the pool. Congrats on saving the birds life!

hello. I don't really think that it's a problem. It's good that you saved the bird and I hope that i was ok. i dont really think that this poses much of a threat to you... I'd still go swimming but it would pay to get a professionals opinion like a vet, someone who works at a pet store or a doctor.

if you have sanitizer in your pool [chlorine] you should be fine,birds are always in our pools and water supplies they like water too.glad you saved the bird but think that they are disease infested they are no different than household pets.now if they are dead i would not touch it with your hands but that would still have no impact on a well sanitized pool.
