Seems that Christianity is getting destroyed from the inside and the outside.

From the outside:

Fewer people identify themselves as Christian.
All elements of Christianity from prayer to holidays to traditional family set ups to 10 commandments have been banned from the public society. Halloween is becoming the most looked forward to holiday and Christmas is nothing more than a capitalistic, depression and debt causing joke.

Meanwhile here is the church timeline:

1960's - Church common everywhere. Bible was loved and the gospel was taught. Reverence and holiness was found throughout

1990's - Bible optional and use of Self-Help books common. Jesus taught but details not important. Dress how you want, live any lifestyle you want.

2020's - Jesus/God/Church too offensive - Spirit guide term is now used. Bible banned. Bars, clubs, and JayZ concerts replace traditional service.

The number of true Christians will decline. Because there is a falling away first before the man of sin is revealed.

There will never be an end to Christianity. Because you can not kill God. It has been tried before and will be tried again.

We are on the verge of the true saints of God having the greatest out pouring of the Holy Ghost this world has ever seen. Persecution will arise greater because Jesus is hated. But the true Church will be strong in the Lord Jesus Christ.

While I agree that some elements of Christianity are not allowed in the public sector, I disagree with your church timeline.
The state I live in is landlocked. There are no professional sports teams in the state. Very few concerts come to my city and my city is the second largest in the state. Low point beer is the only alcohol allowed in the grocery stores. Liquor stores carry specialty beers with higher point alcohol but you will not find any name brands in the liquor store. There is a church on just about every street corner. People say God Bless instead of have a good day. Perfect strangers in Dr.'s office ask about your problems and will pray with you right there and will put you in their prayer circle. My point is that in this state, there are no outside influences to compete with the churches. And the churches rule. The daily newspaper has a bible quote on the front page everyday. I think Christianity it alive and well and if you practice what Jesus taught you will find yoursely surrounded by the same people. May God bless you and keep you.

1. Christianity is growing in Africa, Asia and South America. More of these immigrants coming to America will make the United States more Christian over time, not less. 2. Many churches are becoming gay-friendly. Most of us are not ignorant Fundamentalists. 3. I don't even know how to begin answering your statement about Christianity not having done any good. Sheesh. I'd have to give you a course on Western Civilization to respond to that adequately. Though there have been some big errors over the centuries, Christianity has done tons of good for many people, and it will continue to do so. Or perhaps I should personalize this and make it non-institutional so you can better hear me: Christ and his Love have done wonders in my life, and he has freed me up to love others in ways I did not think possible.

Look through the History of Christianity beginning with it's very roots from the very beginning with Adam and Eve. Cain killed Abel; God responded by giving Seth. The world Got so wicked that God decided to start over, so He supplied Noah to continue the human race. Next was Sodom and Gamorah, God saved a remmenent through Lot. All through Israel's history the nation would grow evil and God would keep a remenant even in the enemies nations. The same goes for today, a large protion of those calling on the name of Jesus have grown evil. Judgment shall start at the house of God, but God will save a remenant.
Another thing to consider is that anyone that has raised their hands against God's anointed have come under the judgment of God and have fallen: Babylon, The Grecian empire, the Roman empire are but a sample. Anyone or any nation that stands against the True Christians will come under the judgment of God and it will not come through Christians taking up arms.
My advice if you do not agree with Christianity, then do not do any harm and live in peace.

The problem started long before the time line you are describing, However you do see some things that are prophetic in nature. See 2 Tim 3:1-5, Mathew 24: 37-39
It's time for people to return to the word and not assume they have the correct answers. But rather test their beliefs using the Scriptures as all authority. Then just possibly a few will make it through the narrow gate? To see what happens to Professed Christianity see Revelation 17:1-6

Hullo....

This doomsayer knows no history. Christianity has gone through major catastrophe after major catastrophe, ever since its birth! When our religion was yet a newborn, it was being attacked by Gnostics. And people barely recognize Gnostics today. Not to mention that Christianity was banned and that we were often thrown to the lions in the Roman Empire.

Then there was Islam, ever since 600s AD. Once, Islam conquered Spain, and yet the French General, Charles Martel ("the Hammer") busted them up and sent them packing ("coincidentally", the date he did so was Sept. 11, the point in history when Islam owned the most territory ever...). On top of that we had several Crusades (which were really defensive wars against the invading Moslem world) that after the first one really didn't accomplish anything...yet Europe remained Christian.

Then the Enlightenment rolled around and everyone started taking God out of legal codes. The French Revolutionaries massacred people, abused and banned Christianity, yet the French Church survived, even past Napoleon.

Hitler came to power in Germany, and created a specific plan for destroying the German Church. Thousands of Christians were killed in Concentration camps, for various reasons like hiding their Jewish neighbors or simply being too religious (I'm not kidding about that plan to destroy the Church, look it up.) Stalin did the same in Russia.

And now, look! Secular, "Enlightened" Europe has a birth rate that is going down the drain. Here in America, more secular states also have dying birth rates. What states in America have growing birth rates? The Bible Belt! Hence America, the exception of demographic decline, recently reached a population of 300 million.

Down in Africa, Christianity is taking hold, despite Islam massacring them. Same in China, only this time the government is responsible for repression. Ditto for India.

Ironically, it seems that Christianity works best and stays purer when it is under attack! It's only in lax societies where Christianity is the norm that it starts to dillute itself into "arms-are-for-hugging-there's-no-such-thing-as-Hell" happy mush. When your head is in danger of being cut off because of your Christianity, you are more likely to keep your beliefs right in line with the Bible. Therefore, I would say persecution is the best thing that ever can happen to strengthen the Christian community....yikes.

Matthew 5:10-12
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."

Considering blacks had to fight for their civil rights during this period, I doubt Christianity was flourishing then.

what you describe is what was seen before the flood.. as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be when the SON OF MAN returns. so you r describing what was prophesied, By JESUS and others in the WORD OF GOD. so, no it is not the end of christianity, just a sign of the times. and it says alot to thosw who live a christian life. what did Solomon say? here is the conclusion, respect GOD and keep HIS commandments, for this is the whole duty of humanity. we don't have to be public and push our form of religion on others, as some other counrties do, but we do need to let our light shine, and lift up freedom of choice and freedom of religion. That is what GOD would want us to do. that is what JESUS DID, HE did not advocate the enforcement of religion, not once. what HE advocated was showing how attractive GOD THE FATHER really is. and let everyone choose.

Your time line is a bit short. Just to name a few
you might start about 2000 years ago: Christians being torn apart by lions in the Roman arenas, the apostles being executed, a time period of peace followed by the Moslem horde invading all of Europe all the way to Portugal, Crusaders push them back to the middle east, the Protestant Reformation, the discrimination in America of Catholics though WW2, the 60s had Madelyn Mary O'Hare trying to remove the 'in God we trust' from coins, the cults that took young people away from family and friends, a few years of peace and then a mockery of religious right, Presidents committing perjury with no punishment, Christians being crucified in Iran, rivers running in the blood of the faithful by moslem/tribal hordes in Zimbabwe, recently the murder of the chaldean priest and deacons in Iran.
There has always been wishy washy Christians who go to church on Sunday for political or social reasons and do bad things the rest of the week, they have no faith. Others who are attracted to the flashy but it never lasts for long.
There has been increase in many traditional faiths where others have decreased there will be fewer faithful but they will be stronger for it.

Chin up bro!
Jesus said that His kingdom would never end...remember though, His kingdom is not of this world.

Christianity as a "religion" has been on the skids for quite a while...Christianity as a relationship with God Almighty is actually starting to catch on. The western church has failed miserably at getting the Good News out in the past 40 years. The church around the world is THRIVING!!! Especially in the places where you would least expect it.

Peace in His name.
