I cook them at 400 until I can poke them with a fork & they are soft. Time doesn't usually matter, it depends on your potatos, but I'd give at least an hour. If they are done before you're ready to eat, I usually just turn the oven off & leave them in.

I find the best temperature to bake a baking potato is at 450 degrees for about 45 minutes in an aluminum foil, with holes poked into the potato.

washed and poked with a knife and placed on parchment paper
375 for 1 hr and 30 minutes.
or
450 for 1 hour on the rack- place foil on rack underneath one with potatoes on it.
my favorite way is early in day bake- then cool all day
and re bake 375. 30 minutes

350F 45-60 minutes. Wash the potato, rub with olive oil and coarse salt, this will ensure a nice crispy, tasty skin. Don't poke holes in it or wrap it in foil.
