You have the freedom to choose. Like the Buddha advised: "Use your human intelligence and common sense to analyze and then decide."
Lucky, I assume you are not in any Muslim country or Malaysia. Otherwise you are in deep trouble. Do a google search on "lina joy-malaysia" and you will know why.
Peace and happiness to you :-)

I believe you are headed in the right direction. While Buddha may have spoken many good and wise things, I believe Jesus is the way to go.
Buddha might have spoken of A PATH to enlightenment, Jesus said HE is THE PATH to enlightenment.
Christianity is more a way of life than a religion.
I am pretty much an old fossil by the younger crowds standards, so I have been around for a while. I have searched through many religions looking for truth. I would say I always believed in something, but couldn't say what it was. I don't think I was an agnostic, I was pretty much convinced of a higher power, but was at a loss at who or what is was.
I found it in Jesus. Christianity has lasted for 2000 years, and still stands strong.
This is because Jesus KNEW the condition of the human soul. He knew what strings to pull in the human heart.
Dig up a Bible that has all the words of Jesus in printed in red and read the words of a person who is light years ahead of all the head shrinks of today's world. Truly amazing.
You said you were an x-Muslim. Isn't that rather difficult? It is like quitting a gang in L.A. I have known people who have had to go into hiding after quitting Islam.
God Bless you in your search.

People who experience and or investigate haunting would NEVER jump to a quick conclusion. More often than not, there is an earthly reason for what happens. Even the ghost hunters (on TV) say that only 30% of their investigations come up with anything that might be paranormal. The chances that you have a ghost is slim. A person teasing you is real possible. Or the lights were moved when you cleaned your room or the lighting was loose. etc.

When choosing a religion,do not use your heart but your brain,go for one that can withstand the test of time,one which prompt you to ask and seek,not with blind faith.Does all road leads you to Rome? not really,some religion leads you to Heaven,with the authority of the controller,while some needs your own hard work to attain the state of bliss[seek truth,for the truth will set you free] this is as far as i can go,my believe is not the best,but mine points the Way not leads you by the noise.Good luck and may your search bear fruit.

Jesus and Buddha were and are Great Teachers. We all need teachers at various points in our journey of life. When we look for them they appear. What some of us don't understand is that we are all different and need different teachers. That doesn't mean we can't learn from each other's teachers too. It is a wise soul who knows that there is truth to be found along every pathway on the way to Home.

if jesus christ was in fact the son of god, then clearly becoming a christian is the way to go.
if he wasn't the son of god (and he never claimed to be) then becoming a christian is at the very least misguided.
becoming a christian, a buddhist, a muslim, a shinto, or a jain will always be 'a move in the right direction' if those religions are where you want to be.
and equally, if they aren't where you want to be, will always be a move in the wrong direction.

WRONG...choice, WRONG direction...
christianity and buddhism are religions, right?
"religion is Spiritual fraud";
"religion is the Worse invention of humanity";
"Universal Truth has eliminated religion from Spirituality",
quotes of Jesus Christ, Buddha and any one else with Spiritual intelligence.
"When a person is freed of religion, they have a better chance to live a normal and wholesome life." S. Freud;
Here's what You can do to go in the RIGHT direction and start Your journey back home, to Heaven:
Create a Private, Personal, Direct, Divine Relationship with Our Creator and save Your Soul from religion's and atheist's beliefs and start Your journey back home, to Heaven.
<<<<<<< UnConditional Love is the only answer >>>>>>>
Love and Believe in Our Creator;
Love and Believe in Yourself.
Here are some of my quotes:
Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!
Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!
Freedom of religion is Freedom from religion.
atheists = all the people in religion = all the ignorant fundamentalists = all the cults/superstitions = paganism = wicca = = taoism = xians = scientology = homosexuals/lesbians = skinheads = politicians = george w bush = lawyers.

Any move towards morality is good. But I am concerned about the after life, too. This is one reason for me being a Christian.
