I had heard that also which is one of the reasons, along with some of the other concerns of microwaving.

Okay, let me clarify the space... too much space on my counter top. My cooking stove doesn't sit on my countertops.... I have much less countertop space than I do floor space.

You're sooo right about the taking up of too much space. However, with a family of 5 and relatives and friends constantly popping in on weekends; I not only have one of those terrible eye sores upon my counters but 2. I have to keep one upon a baker's rack. I don't cook with them but I use them for defrosting and reheating which saves me loads of time. My children use them for microwave popcorn on a daily basis.

I don't have one because of the health risks involved. Also i find cooking food in a microwave doesn't give the same taste as when cooking on a stove or oven for instance, its less crips and fresh. Microwaves are handy for when you want to heat up food but just for that, its not worth it!

I only use microwave to heat leftovers or my coffee. They seem to make your food all rubbery when cooking with them YUK, plus microwaves really aren't much faster at cooking than doing it the traditional way on a stove. I'd rather have a few dirty pots and pans than 1 bowl or plate of rubber with no taste.

I have a microwave in our kitchen but it is only used to warm up left overs or cook popcorn. Since mine is above my stove I didn't lose any cabinet space.

I didn't for a long time...actually I think I was the only college kid around living on my own without a microwave!!
I did finally buy one recently as we now own a house and have a bit more space, and I have to admit it comes in handy.
Not really for cooking, but I do use it almost every day for either defrosting, or steaming frozen veggies, or reheating cold coffee or of course popcorn.
It's easy to live without one, but comes in handy once you do give in and get one!

I would have starved to death long ago if I didn't have a microwave. They are getting more compact and lighter weight now than they were 10 -15 years ago. The one I have now is the smallest I have ever owned but has more wattage and options for use.

in case you want greater 'sparkling and tidy' issues to do, then you definately ought to bathe different flooring, dirt and varnish, sparkling abode windows, have a transformation around with furnishings, manage issues in yet differently, form by means of your kitchen etc Or something relaxing, pass out and keep until you drop!

That's ridiculous, it takes up too much space! Have you seen the size of a microwave verses a stove?
