Ya, what they said above, but it doesn't go to the top drivers and doesn't go to the drivers. It gets evenly distributed among all the teams, even the ones that we never see, that don't make the races.
As for the guy that says all big companies are corrupt, do you know how much they give to charities a year. They setup and fund the Nascar foundation which feeds allot of charities including Petty's Victory Junction Camp for children. Tony Stewart alone gives over a million dollars a year to Victory Junction he tries to keep it quiet but Kyle petty's wife said this year Tony is not going to get away with it, and she told the press. Even if it's only 5% or 10% of his earnings for the year that's allot of money. Do you give 5% of your earnings to charity?
Nascar, most of the teams and drivers have allot of heart and give allot more to charity than most of us hear about. They are always doing things for charity, to raise awarness as well as giving money, visiting hospitals and other charity functions.
As for the taxes I'm not sure but they are only holding the money till the end of the year, so if they claim it as an income they will get it as an expense when they pay it out. and the interest I'm pretty sure I heard that it goes directly into the Nascar Foundation Fund.

It should go to a charity but instead it goes into the points fund that goes back to the teams in the break down at the end of the year. So every fine is not really the fine. Teams are going to get a portion of it back at the end of the year. A Fine Rebate if you will. I'm still looking for my rebate from my last speeding ticket.

all the money goes to the end of the season earnings. So basically when a driver is fined, they get a slap on the wrist, and get their money back at the end of the year. NASCAR should do it like the NFL, make them pick a charity, and give the dough to it. Not get it back.

All fines are added to the end of year "Point Fund". This is the money that is divided up among the top drivers at the end of year banquet.

Yep, point fund. It goes right back to the people who had to pay the 'fine'.
