Why are ther no "B" batteries? We have A's, C's and D's....?

"b" batteries were used in early vacuum tube portable radios in the 1930s and 1940s. the battery's ranged in voltage from 45 volts to 90 volts, which happens to be concidered lethal or very dangerous today. "b " batteries went obsolete when transistor radios came on the scene and were low voltage.
