No idea.

Why is a woman's only role is as a companion for Adam?

Why does she come out of the guy's rib, instead of directly from god?

Why is she punished with labor pain and subjugation to men?

The Bible is notoriously sexist. It was obviously written at a time when women were sexual slaves and property to men. I don't know of an educated woman in any part of the Bible. Only hookers, obedient wives (Lot's wife was killed for disobeying him), complacent surrogates (Mary), and deceitful women (Delilah).

Well, the bible was written by men wasn't it! Of course they set themselves up well and put women down, in fact they probably didn't think much about women except as how women could be useful to them.

As for why god does and doesn't do anything, I don't have a beliefe in god, so I can't answer that.

And women who believe in god ... well, they believe in the religion they have been taught or found, I guess. Sometimes that belief is more important to people than thinking another way about how things work. It always amazes me, too, lol.

it was not God who chose it to be that way it was man, don't get the two confused, this happened in all placers of the world not just the biblical. God did not make women slaves , men did, God actually said a Woman is worth more then anything. and a Man should love his wife and be gentle with her but Men even today treat women like crap. it was not God who did this it was man. the bible just states how things were, God did not order men to be sexist pigs but Men back then made it that way, what i said above is what men were ordered to do with women, to love and be gentle with, and Jesus even showed compassion towards Women when all the rest of the men wanted to kill them when the women didnt do what they wanted them to do.

All religion is man-made so you don't have to really worry about what god really thinks in man-made texts. The xtian bible and other religious texts were written long ago, by men mostly, they reveal the views of women in their time. I don't know why women follow that stuff, but I quit following it.

I believe that the original writings of Paul were actually not against women. In fact, he taught an equality of the sexes that was extraordinary for his time. Unfortunately, this did not sit well with later church authorities. They are the ones that added the passages that are against women. We can tell because the language of the part against women is not like the language that Paul used. It also breaks up the flow of the text, and so it seems obvious that it was inserted later.

Would it be right to say the innate quality of "wanting to be taken, led " is stronger in the feminine spirit than the males? I dont mean this to be and it need not be a derogatory statement. Also, this stuff was written a long , long time ago ,possibly a patriarchal, politicised attempt at order in a brutal period.

Judeo/Christianity along with Islam is very sexest. Can you believe that the Vikings respected their women, allowed for divorce...and many Nordic women were Shamen?

Don't stress yourself. There will always be people -- especially women -- that think it's honorable or "pious" to demean and demoralize themselves for their god. You know, like the people who stay with their abusers.

Personally I can't figure out what kind of god would expect us to be that way either.

All Western faiths reduce women to the status of property. That's why those faiths are dying out.

MEN wrote and edited the Bible, what do you expect?

Why do battered women return to the people that beat them, low self-esteem and a need to belong.

Th God created by men.
