Lots of dogs do this. It could be worse. At least he doesn't get car sick.

He's only doing this because he can't wait to get to the park. He's excited. Try taking your dog for a short care ride just around the block. Continue this, and pretty soon he should learn that every time you get into the car doesn't mean you're going to the park.

Does he bark on the way BACK from the park? If not it is just excitement at going out for a run!

Take him on short trips to other places and praise him when he is being quiet in the car. Make sure he can see what is going on-a lot of times dogs bark because they can't see enough.

he is probably just really excited
try having someone go with you for short trips around the block giving him a settle, sit, lay down, or whatever you want to use command. Bring treats so when he behaves the person can reward him.
take him as much as possible so its not such a rare occasion
good luck

suggestion take a different route to get to the park where your going if he knows the exact route ya take he will get excited cause he knows where he is going other than that turn some music on to drown out the barking that might settle him down

Tie him down on the floor so he cant see outside and make sure when you tie him he stays there. My staffie used to do the same thing because she could see all the cars going past and it got her excited when i tied her down she stopped going stupid straight away. It was the best advice I have ever been given. Hope it works for you good luck

we have somewhat the same problem,Try a mussle or a cage(but we dont do that) if you don't want to do that, try making the dog look out the window,or try somehow to let it sleep befor your car journey.

there's nothing you can do... there are some dogs that just heat being in motion in such a device. actually, the majority of them do so...if he's still jung, then he can be thought by puting him in such enviorment more often and cuddelig him during that period
