It is the American lifestyle more than any other which contributes to global warming. The other countries which try to emulate our lifestyle are also big contributers. The reason is we emit more carbon dioxide. These are the reasons why we produce more carbon dioxide.
- the car culture- owning several cars and driving everywhere instead of taking mass transit or biking riding. This includes the highway system and street plans which make it hard to walk or bike anywhere.
- urban sprawl- The spread of tract homes out away from the cities and into rural areas along highways. This destroys farmland and woods and makes it difficult to shop and do thing locally. You end up having to drive/commute everywhere.
- energy usage- Americans use more energy per person than most other counties. Much of this is in heating/cooling our larger houses, heating water, and lighting. Simply buying more energy efficient products and insulating homes better would cut down on our energy usage.
-type of energy- The US is probably the biggest user of coal for producing electricity with maybe only china beating us. We produce more of our power with fossil fuels than any of the other developed nations. We need to start switching over to renewable energies fast.
-consumer culture- We buy more cheap junk and plastic items from made long distances away than anywhere else. Shipping from long distances and using trucks to transport all that junk uses a lot of energy.
-meat eating- Americans eat a lot of meat. Producing a pound of meat uses at least ten times the energy of using a pound of grain and ten times the land. It is a major contributer to the slash and burn farming in the amazon rain forest.

Exporting those behaviors to the rest of the world has made the the global warming problem accelerate and made it harder to fix.

When we talk about human influence US and Europe are the top culprits followed by China and India where latter once are responcible due to population explotion. US and Europe are present biggest contributor and they should be penalised for what is happening today. And, may be we should be ready to penalise China and India in another two or three decades.

None. No one can prove that man is "causing" global warming in the first place. No one can even agree on the exact amount of heat this planet gets from the greenhouse effect. The variability of answers you would get in "calculating" this theoretical amount dwarfs the amount of heat attributable to man-made greenhouse gases.
