With u keeping ur hands close to ur chest SOOO close, it DOES affect ur running, and here's why, which is very simple: YOU are running with an unnatural form...Meaning, ur arms/hands are not relaxed at all.......Do u cramp up at the shoulders at times? It wouldn't surprise me if u do...See, when u do this, lactic acid starts to work it's magic in the areas that are not relaxed.....Thus fore, u tighten up.......It actually amazes me how u have been able to get MVP and such, cuz I know I wouldn't have been able to do so if I would have ran like u do, but then again, everyone's different...Anyways......The correct running form is head leveled, arms parallel to the shoulders, in a relaxed "L" shape, hands halfway open (not clenched, nor too lose*), and steady/efficient breathing.....With u running, like if u were holding ur boobs, u are wasting precious energy......When I ran in HS, I was a big "B" cup....And ran completely relaxed.....All I did for my boobs, was get a good number of supportive, cotton, comfortable bras......Now, if u reallyyyy don't want ur boobs to bounce at all, then add a second bra ....Wear 2 at a time, if it worries u that much.....Your boobs won't hurt, or get injured if they bounce....You just have to GET a good SPORTS BRA!!! And u mentioned that if u had an "A" cup, if u could be running faster??? Honey, I met alotttt of girls who had mosquito bites for boobs, yet, some of them, couldn't even run a 7:30 min. mile......It would take them like 9 mins! Now, if ur boobs were like a huge D cup, or even worse, then u would have some probs. with running, since it would really affect ur back....But ur not in that situation, so why worry???? Just get a good/supportive bra...Go to Runnersworld.com....They have AWESOME, and extremely supportive running bras.....Or, if u want to go the cheaper route, but get some good quality bras like that, just go to WalMart...I have always gotten mine there, and they last me a longggg time, they have from low-high impact sports bras, and all in comfortable/breathable fabrics......I hope all this info. is of some help! Good luck! And Congrats on ur accomplishments! =)

If you are supporting them with your hands/arms while running you are wasting an extreme amount of energy.
Your coach a lady? Your Mom around? You definitely need some specialized support for the issue. Most quality running shops will have a sympathetic lady Sales Assistant that can discuss the problem and provide some solutions.
Division 1, surely you are not already a major college runner? So what does "Division 1 mean to you?
Solve this before season and you should be surprised with the results.

It would affect them gravity wise. Regular bras do not support boobs with jogging and it would negatively effect them by literally stretching them making them longer (Ewww!!!!) A sports bra comes highly recommended!! The way that boobs typically get smaller is through weight loss.

It seems to be that I'm the same size as you. I don't have the problem of touching them when I run. You need to run with your shoulders more relaxed so your hands are about even with your ribcage and it helps your finishing kick when you move your arms to help propel you. Sports bras help flatten you out if you're not wearing one already too.
To solve your problem of not losing boobs try chest exercises and bench pressing to tighten them. As you know, boobs are just fat so anything you lose there will help you in the long run. (Pun intended)

i was a runner too - DONT keep your hands or arms in an uncomfortable position when running. my advice would be to shop around for a very good and supportive athletic bra. ask your teamates for advice.

You can always try stapling it in place : P (guffaw!!)
But seriously, you can try weight training to strengthen the muscles in your chest area, this might help a bit. Try consulting a fitness expert about this. And as someone suggested above, sports bras with good support are available at stores nowadays. As for it affecting your running, it depends on your pace. As you've indicated that you run cross country, then you tend to jog most of the way and this pace does cause your breast to bounce a lot thereby affecting your balance. But in an all out sprint, I don't think it'll affect you all that much since you'll be leaning forward most of the time and the momentum of your forward motion would basically take care of your huge bumper problem.
