Hi I am very proactive with charity work and want to reward someone who is doing the same with the best answer points.
Here are the rules : I am going to give the "Best Answer" points to the first person under the age of 17 who ties or beats me in the amount of charities they are a part of. Also don't forget to tell me why.

Hi,
What an amazing question. I am under the age of 17 and have always loved helping people, trying to make the world a better place for all of mankind. Since I was little I have been using my talents, intellect and caring nature to help others. I have helped raise over 1,000,000 dollars for charity from January of 2006 till now. I am currently on the board of over 16 different charities.
Congrats to all with this same mission
-peace

I am too old to get a best answer, but I am on the board of a children's advocacy center in my community. These centers provide a safe place for the victims of child abuse and neglect and those members of their families who are trying to protect them.

These centers are a great thing, because they bring all the various disciplines who have to intervening child abuse together in one space. They are geared to reducing the trauma the child experiences once the abuse becomes known. Without something like this, it is too easy for Child and Family Services, law enforcement, prosecutors and mental health folks to get "turf issues" that further traumatize the very person they are supposed to help or protect.

So, not very many, but I am very active on the one I am on. I believe that if I am not part of the solution I am part of the problem.
