A lot of dogs eyes tear and water then it gets brown and crusty. This could be normal for your dog a lot of poodles for instance do this just keep it clean and wiped off. Always consult your vet if you are really worried.

When dogs sleep, they often get a brown slimy substance around their eyes. This can easily be wiped off with some warm water. But, if it is coming out everyday in vast quantities, I suggest you take your dog to the vet. They will be able to prescribe some medicane which will hopefully help.

Hi, Sounds like his eyes have an infection. You need to take him to a vet and have his eyes check out. I hope it's not serious. Take him A.S.A.P.. Eyes are nothing to mess around with. I hope things work out for your pet and you.

this is normal in a poodle and in cockers.
They get this you need to keep teh eyes clean several times a day.
I keep the hair in my dogs face shaved so it doesn't collect.
To get rid of the old brown stuff you can soak it and pull it out or g get it shaved.
