Your answer seems accurate, however a closer examination of the TRUTH will reveal that:
A person will be a SLAVE to sin if he has not sought and found the Truth. He is bound by his own lusts and desires unable to break free.
But a SERVANT of the ONE is just that--a servant who CHOOSES to serve. One who has found the Truth and with it...Freedom.......to serve.
There is a difference.

Why is it bad to be a slave to your own desires? Selfish does not equal bad. A lot of people have desires to do good things, not only for themselves, but for others as well.

i feel this must be true in its own way...some people belive that america is a free country but if you lokk closely its not...i guess that if someone tinks they r a slave then they must be...god does seem to be very restricting and the bible recomended slavery basicly! i am not a believer myself

True. In fact it goes right along with what the Apostle Paul said in Romans 6:
16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?
