Yes, it is a choice. If a child is born into a family of meth dealers and thieves, and grows up and goes out and does this on his own as an adult and gets caught, do you think the judge will just let him go and say "oh, he was born into it?" Of course not! He knows right from wrong by living in society and he made a choice to be like his family instead of doing the right thing and obeying the law. Same goes for homosexuals who have read the Bible and ask these questions. They know right from wrong and it is wrong under God's conviction. If you choose to disobey God, then you suffer the consequences just the kid I told a story about. You have a choice to repent and be forgiven and ask God to help you to keep away from that sin and yes, prayers and asking God for things works. If you don't like the answers you get, don't blame the Christians for telling you the truth of what they read in the Bible, but talk to God about it.

You say that homosexuals do not choose to be so. Where's the proof of that?
I assume you're saying that homosexuality is in the genes. There's never been one iota of proof of that(at least that I've seen). They've done identity twin studies since the 1950's. One study in Australia has almost 15,000 identical twins they've studied. Everytime identical twins are born they follow them up until they are adults to see if one of them becomes gay. If homosexuality is in the genes then whenever one is gay then the other should be gay 100% of the time(since identical twins have identical genes). The studies have shown the opposite. Whenever one is gay, at least 70% of the time the other is heterosexual. On the 15,000 twin study I think the results were when one is gay the other is heterosexual 78% of the time. Also, in this day and age, everyone seems to believe in evolution. Evolution is fueled by natural selection(survival of the fittest). Another way to describe natural selection is just to say that whatever species is best adapted to pass on it's genes will survive. The species that are least able to pass on their genes will go extinct. By that theory, homosexuals should have gone extinct long ago since they don't have natural kids of their own and therefore don't pass on their genes. But it doesn't matter anyhow because I've already shown you that it isn't in the genes. I think you're getting your scientific evidence for homosexuality from hollywood.
As far as your 2nd question is concerned, where you asked
"I also want to know why sodomy can be accepted between a man and a woman, but not between a man and a man"..............The answer to that would depend on what, exactly, one means by sodomy and the answer would probably be more explicit than I would want to get on the internet so I'll leave that for someone else to answer.

Homosexuality is not a choice any more than being born Black, White or heterosexual is.
Nothing sexual between a man and a man are acceptable behavior by God. It is clearly forbidden for a man to lay with another man or a woman to lay with a woman.
God Bless

SSA ( same sex attraction) is not a choice. However, acting on that attraction is. I think that's why people say it's a choice. When they say it's a choice they often simplify it too much. There are many factors that contribute to homosexuality. I don't believe in a genetic factor, though.
IMO I don't think sodomy is acceptable in any setting. I believe it's a deviation of God's plan for anyone, regardless of who they are.

FYI, most of the (male) homosexuals I've spoken with weren't all that turned on by anal sex.
Many of those who have screamed the loudest against homsexuals often presume the absolute worst possible motives, making me wonder if these people have ever actually talked to someone who is homosexual about why they are homosexual. I really rather doubt it.
I care not what the Bible says about the subject: The physical evidence suggests that the orientation of homosexuality has a strong biological component and is no more a choice than ones skin color. I'll take physical, real world evidence over the self-rightious rantings of a Fred-Phelps wannabe.

I think that everyone knows that all homosexuals get together and invite others to join their exclusive club, where they are only allowed to join if they really make the choice to become evil sinners whose sole motivation is to counter god's will. No one is born a homosexual. I am not just saying this because it is easier than having to actually think.

Who cares what other people think, it is between you and God alone. In this new generation, man thinks they know everything and yet no nothing.
Who is the more foolish, the fool or the one who listens to the fool?
At the end of the day what does "Normal" mean and can it apply to man? Everyone has issues in their different ways.
God bless all of Gods creation.

I believe people are born with a predisposition towards it. I don't believe it is a choice. And my question that i have asked on r&s before is this . Are the unatural acts commited by gays any more reprehensible than the unnatural acts commited between a man and a woman . My answer has always been, ......I don't think so. They both need to do their best to keep it as clean as possible. And when they slip they need to try to improve. Because it is biblical that if you really ,
really try , god considers it perfect. Gays should not be angry at God because God chastises those that He loves. Christ is a equal opportunity savior.

Sodomy is not accepted by everyone. It is a harmful and dangerous act that can lead to serious medical conditions. Please do some independent research on this. (Anal fissures, anal leakage, rectal cancer).
It matters not who you are attracted to, you still CHOOSE to take a man or a woman to your bed, don't you? It's a choice.

Sexual orientation is not chosen, our potential sexual orientation is fixed if not at birth then certainly in very early infancy, nobody can choose their sexual orientation. whether you are straight, bisexual, gay or transsexual these are all normal human variations in sexual orientation, just as humans vary in height and IQ, these are similarly not a choice either. Take a look at the variation in IQ shown in the answers here, do people really choose to be dumb?
There are more straight people who enjoy an@l than gay people simply because there are so many more straight people in the world even if only a minority of them indulge in it. An alternative for pleasure and also a popular form of birth control in some societies...that's life, but a lot of gays prefer giving and receiving bj's and hand jobs as well as kissing and cuddling and romantic evenings together in any case, sometimes people find nature and others having pleasure hard to accept...who really has the problem?.
Being of a homosexual orientation it would be way dumb and quite dishonest to choose to live a heterosexual lifestyle now wouldn't it?...Get real.
