I am not here to seek judgement. I do not wish for rebuke or to be turned away. I am a christian and know that we tend to do this. I will be open and frank.
I have a problem with porn. I gave it up for a year, and then came back. Things are so much better without it, and i want to go back to the life i had without it.
1. Advice?
2. Be Praying for me please...

Greetings Friend,
First I would like to say, "Bless you my Brother." I understand your struggles and I want you to know that God loves you and accepts you just the way you are. In fact, who God created you as has never changed. You are still a son of God with or with out porn.
To me your problem (or sin if you prefer) is the same as every other problem that anyone has. There is no sin problem. The only problem is an identity problem.
See many brothers/sisters see themselves as sinners saved by grace, which may be true on a theoretical level, but on the practical level, it is harming. The reason can be seen in this question: what do sinners do? Sinners sin. So, if you view yourself as a sinner, you will struggle with sin. However, what if you viewed yourself as a son of God. How do sons, or daughters of God behave? See the difference?
Your problem is not porn. Your problem is that you see yourself as a sinner who struggles with porn (which is obvious because if you didn't see yourself this way you would not have asked your question). What if you saw yourself as God sees you - as His son? What if every time you started struggling with porn, you reminded yourself of who you were - God's son?
My brother, you are God's son. You have always been God's son. You always will be God's son. You were created in God's image. The problem is that you (we all actually do this) remade yourself into another image one that struggles with porn or some other problem. However, regardless of who you think you are, you are who God said you are. You are God's son and God's son is free. Free of problems. Free of sins. Free to be who God created you to be. Free to love. Free to listen to the voice for God and follow it. Awaken my brother to the freedom that is yours. Be set free.
sending love,

Renew your mind in the Word. Repent, renounce it and all ties with it. Ask God to burn all the negatives of the images in your mind. Get rid of anything/ everything that is tied with it. I knew of a guy that literally threw his pc out the window. He had to get radical with it to be totally free.
Your answer is in Jesus Christ. I would seriously seek out a trusted brother in Christ that will hold you accountable and pray with you. Then, when you're tempted, you could call this person for support. I really recommend not going this alone. Having someone hold you accountable is a better way to maintain your freedom until you can become stronger in resisting the temptation.
Also, remember, when temptation comes you must first submit your will to God's, resist the temptation and then the enemy will flee.
Develop an intimacy with God. The more you're in His presence the less you'll desire the porn. He's the only one that can fill the voids in your life.
God always makes a way out. Take it and don't look back.

That is tough. Keep pressing toward the prize.
There was a man who loved Krispy Kreme donuts. He quit them for health reasons, but decided it wouldnt hurt to smell them. So he drove by every day. After a few weeks he decided it would be ok to go in and get coffee. after a few weeks he just could not stand it, and gave in to the donuts.
Make a covenant with your eyes and dwell on God and not the donuts you miss so much.Guard your heart and depend on him to deliver you. When you are tempted, pray for me or a friend. That will bring God into your situation and He promises to show you a way out. God bless you, I will pray for you!
Make no mistake no man is an island and others are affected. Do you have trouble praying or witnessing while you have been veiwing porn?

the best advice i have came across regarding this temptation is this
you feel the urge for porn, quickly find another activity that will distract you and take focus from porn. this activity could be as simple as going for a walk,a hobby you enjoy or you can turn to scripture or study of scripture when you get the urge. when you feel the urge try recall how much better things were without it and reflect upon why, this may be best done during a walk or something. hope this helps and prayers are with you. god bless.

My husband and I dealt with this a few months ago. Prayer of course and find an accountability partner someone you trust and can be completely open and honest with. Have you heard of The Pure Warrior workshops? I'm sure they have a website. Do not let Satan discourage you, you are not alone! Fight the good fight. Read Eph. 6 :10-18 everyday. Write it on your heart.

Their provocations.
Those that will not wait for God's counsel, shall justly be given up to their own hearts' lusts, to walk in their own counsels. An undue desire, even for lawful things, becomes sinful. God showed his displeasure for this. He filled them with uneasiness of mind, terror of conscience, and self-reproach. Many that fare deliciously every day, and whose bodies are healthful, have leanness in their souls: no love to God, no thankfulness, no appetite for the Bread of life, and then the soul
must be lean. Those wretchedly forget themselves, that feast their bodies and starve their souls. Even the true believer will see abundant cause to say, It is of the Lord's mercies that I am not consumed. Often have we set up idols in our hearts, cleaved to some forbidden object; so that if a greater than Moses had not stood to turn away the anger of the Lord, we should have been destroyed. If God dealt severely with Moses for unadvised words, what do those deserve who speak many proud and
wicked words? It is just in God to remove those relations that are blessings to us, when we are peevish and provoking to them, and grieve their spirits. (Ps 106:34-48)

Dear saint. First of all when you have fallen realise that you are still righteous in Christ and the grace of God is still available to you. You haved been forever redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus and you are still a saint and not a sinner although addicted to porn. No-one can condemn you for there is no condemnation for you who are in Christ Jesus. God puts you in Jesus so that nothing can remove you from Jesus and God still hears your prayers as His son. So have have confidence to enter into His throne of grace and ask your Father for strength to be freed from porn. I pray that you will use the abundance of God's grace and His gift of righteousness to reign in life and over porn. Amen!

The demon of porn is the demon of addiction. Does he keep placing thoughts into your mind and feelings? You need to face this demon and expel it. Our fight is not against flesh and blood but principality's and powers of this dark world. Something like that, a spiritual Battle Satan is trying to hold you down for some reason maybe you have something to offer
