When I read the bible, I dont read it to memorize it. I read it to help better my life in many different ways. To guide me for instance. When I follow the gospal and put the words to action in my life. Than, it is so that I will learn meaning as well as knowing the script from memory. In my own way.
LOL >@ Eat it!
I had a dream that I ate the bible. hehe
Love it.

It takes time. Some verses I could never forget, others I have learned. Take a chapter at a time and write it out. This is what works for me.
If you live in the Spirit, it becomes written in your heart.

Meditate on (saying to yourself repeatedly) God's word. When the rhema comes upon you it will be written in your heart and your mind. The Holy Spirit can then bring the word to your rememberance when you need it.

I think it is better to read and understand and retain the message, not memorize particular verses.

You have to be willing to put in the time and effort. I find that reciting it out loud when I'm trying to memorize helps.

immerse yourself in the scripture you want to learn in particular, example christian tee shirts, stickers etc.......flashcards can help, writing it down a few times etc..... learning and memorizing things is different for everyone so try the methods that helped you at school for tests etc. god bless.
