It's difficult to say. There are those who will claim that all physical sickness and disorders are caused spiritual "sickness" while others claim that the spirit has nothing to do with physical ailments. Personally I do believe in mind over matter but not to that extreme. The way I see it is those who are extremely depressed and get into that kind of mindset become more susceptible to disease and have a harder time fighting it while who are much happier will be less susceptible and be able to fight off infection more easily. Therefore spiritual "sickness" is not the cause but it IS a factor.

I claim some expertise.
I am a therapist and a healer, working at the level of the Spirit but with physical and emotional ailments as well.
You absolutely can NOT separate out mind, body, emotions and spirit. It can't be done! All are aspects of one thing, as different facets are aspects of one diamond.
Those who treat just one aspect will achieve, at best, a partial healing.
And that includes stuff as 'purely' physical as the surgeon who sets a broken leg.

If we aren't right with God, then we may live risky lifestyles. This may be over eating, drug use or other things; which are being substituted for God. As we know these things are dangerous.
