Do hookers and promiscuous women wear such biblical makeup and garments?
Sirach 26:9-10. "The whoredom of a woman may be known in her haughty looks and eyelids. If thy daughter be shameless, keep her in straitly, lest she abuse herself through overmuch liberty."
"For from garments cometh a moth, and from women wickedness. Better is the churlishness of a man than a courteous woman, a woman, I say, which bringeth shame and reproach." (Sirach 42:13-14)

I think one can agree that hookers do give haughty looks to potential customers, generally wear too much eye makeup, and can be identified by what they wear.... even if they are not "biblical" garments. Why use the name Sirach, which most Christians do not use? It is known as Ecclesiasticus (not to be confused with Ecclesiastes) in the Catholic Bible.

If you give any creditability to Sirach (whoever that is) you can believe anything you want. Anyway, all I see in those words is common sense....for prudish people of that age.
