i hear lots of whinning, huh they broke our laws, they are criminals. who cares get a life, the government just does that so people wont focus on the war in iraq and how many people bush is sending to kill. bush rather have all people focus more on illegals than the war and how much damage he is doing, like gas prices and soldiers dyeing. Also think on how the world is by global warming, you never know when the world might end, we are not forever, try and make it worth it and live a happy life and do good things and love one another. open your eyes. why be racist and getting mad about stuff that is not our problem, leave it to the u.s border patrols thats their job.

*peace*

I care about the Legal Immigrants who went about the process through the right channels, they are the ones getting screwed in this amnesty nonsense.

And if you don't care, maybe I should forward all the unpaid medical bills from NYC's 10 major hospitals for medical treatments that these illegals bilked them out of. And when your child's classes becomes 65% non-English speaking Anchor babies that require your school district to establish expensive bilingual learning programs, you will care.

If they come here, assimilate and stop building these homeland ghettos, Mexican, Chinese, South Americans, all the same. And they all have more kids than they can afford and just suck the social systems dry.

Iraq is a mess but more people have been killed by illegals then in Iraq so shouldn't THAT be an issue too?

No matter what we do in Iraq this country will not win.

But, if we don't stop the Bush/Kennedy amnesty it will affect the future of the country in ways that will bankrupt most of our social programs, raise the cost of supply/demand items so much that no one will hardly be able to heat their homes and generally destroy our quality of life through sheer numbers. Projections from the bill has another 50-100 million uneducated and low income people getting medical, schooling, food stamps, earned income credits, etc while paying almost nothing in taxes.

I guess what I'm saying is that Iraq is beyond our control and we are too late other then to try to stop any more soldiers from being hurt without opening our country up to more terrorist attacks.

Illegal immigration however is something that the politicians are trying to ram down our throats that is clearly just politics as usual for them. The dems want more dem voters and the repubs want to make big business happy by keeping wages low.

They're inter-related. The people I talk to on both sides state that the problem of illegal immigration is globlization. Iraq is also an attempt at globilization. It isn't bush who brought illegal immigration to a national attention. It's the illegals who protest on may 1 2006. Also there is something else in common for both. Violating the law is a slippery slope. If one violate a law, it makes it weasier for others to do it too. Bush wants illegal immigrants in because they don't respect the law. Bush, who has violated the law could come around and say wahts the big deal about the laws he broke, since its in the best interest for AMerica. ANd its wrong to call it a race issue, and I seriously question your identity for stating it in that way. 1/3 to 1/2 of those who are against it, see it as a threat of our legal system. If you don't believe me, look at the current bill on immigration reform. It states that we would also allow some felons to get Z visa. A felon is a serious crime. I think you need to research something , before you tell people to open their eyes. I wonder how can you believe its not our problem. It affects our economy, legal system, culture and our security. Plus I doubt you understand that racist loves illegal immigrants. Racist love to feel power and superiority to others. SInce illegal immigrants fear the police, racist hire them so they can abuse them with out fear. I have worked in a place that goes out of the way to hire immigrants. The bosses act like they're lords of a feudal empire and the immigrants were the serfs. Granted these were legal its the fear of authorites, is what keeps them in line. It sickens me that they refuse to hire AMericans because they know immigrants are less likely to sue for abuses.

If you ask me the "it's not our problem" attitude is one of the biggest problems in american society today. It's easy to skate through life trying to ignore everything that's happening. and then blaming anyone and everyone else for the problems that do concern you. As an american citizen it is not only your right, but your responsibility to take an active part in your world. For example right now there are thousands of people in the country lobbying for lighter sentences for everything from parking tickets to murder. Not your problem right? Let the politicians handle it right? WRONG. Say they succeed? Say a man who was supposed to serve a life sentence for murder is released after only ten years..happens all the time. No big deal, not your problem, untill this same man moves out of the area where he is known, goes to some small town (yours) and registers obscurely with the local officials. Of course this information is posted and disclosed for public information, however , its not your problem so you never bother to look at it. You meet the guy, he seems friendly, you start to date, and suddenly your victim number two. Is it your problem now? Would you care then?
I understand this is an extreme dramatization, but it's meant to serve as a wake up call to all the people that think government runs on its own. It dosen't it takes active participation from all of the people to keep it an accurate representation of the peoples wishes. If we keep the "it's not our problem" attitude, then who is truly influencing the decisions that are going to affect our lifes?

To be in the US illegally should not be allowed; although, the respond to your question may well be that many have admire for foreigners, individuals do not purely like the certainty you're actually not in the country legally. the certainty that illegals artwork on farms and %. your nutrition is a reason we provide illegals wellbeing care. The unlawful purely desires to assist his kinfolk, so if we don't provide them wellbeing care, that unlawful could make you and your loved ones ill alongside with the completed u . s .. The unlawful will proceed working, ill or not.

Because the illegals get food stamps and other assistance that the taxpayers pay for, then they go out and get jobs and send that money back home to their families.
The border patrol is understaffed and overworked because big companies can afford to bring illegals in by different ways and methods that makes it almost impossible for the patrol to be everywhere at the same time.
A lot of american companies moved to Mexico for the cheaper labor and they still come here because they don't get paid much there and the companies make a huge profit.

I care about people, here and abroad. I think the big stink now is nothing more than a smokescreen to take our eyes of the real disasters we are facing. Just smoke and mirrors.
We would do well to remember the illegals that are working in meat plants and other low paying , nasty jobs across our country are paying taxes and social security that they will never get any return on. Wonder where we will pick up that social secuity check when we need it?
