My girlfriend and I have both earned free plane tickets and we've got one week in June to play with. Any thoughts? Recommendations? Ideas?

yes, free tickets, lovely. i am assuming these are mileage reward tickets?!? and in june the peak summer season? start looking for dates at any availabilty and read the fine prints. its a love and hate relationship with these free tickets offer by airline or otherwise. lots of restriction and i wish u the best of luck. too bad hawaii is out of question....48 continental states. how about saving them for the winter holidays but book it now in the summer in advance? besides it could give u more time in researching where to visit. hope it helps.

Miami, Florida. I would recommend San Diego but since you live in CA, it wouldn't mean that much to you, probably, and I would say Honolulu but that's not in the continental US so it's Miami.
