This is one of the most brilliant and right-on questions I have ever read in my life.
Unfortunately, they won't even bother understanding what you really mean. And the ones who do will disagree the loudest.

They are showing that they are "moderate", "reasonable", even "scientific" Christians. They aren't like those other guys. Unfortunately, they have a very limited understanding of genetics and the evolutionary process based on at best a week or 2 of study in high school. A few have ideas as advanced as recessive genes but that's pushing it. Many traits that seem to run counter to the survival of the species are quite common. I have very light skin which is easily damaged by sun. It gives me no evolutionary advantage yet there are millions of us in the world. Many of my friends are lactose intolerant. Wouldn't God breed out a trait that almost eliminates an entire food group from the diet of a significant part of the world's population? The world is not as simple as simple people understand it to be.

Homosexuality has absolutley nothing to do with natural selection because its based on genes. Homosexuality has been observed in the animal kingdom as well as identical twins. Homosexuality also plays a role in children when growing up by,"playing or acting," different gender roles. There is also some evidence that gay men report having had less loving and more rejecting fathers, and closer relationships with their mothers, than straight men.
But in conclusion, It happend in the past ans its happening today, people need to accept that.

No offense meant to you, but I think Christianity itself is wrong in the fact that homosexuality itself is a sin according to the written beliefs of Christianity and that all people who are gay or lesbian will perish in Hell, just as easily as murderers. Unfortunately, their argument has some substance to it because AIDs is carried much more heavily in the gay and bisexual community because in many cases, a gay (male) couple is more often to bleed during intercourse than with a heterosexual couple.

Because it DOES make sense. If you want to base this on evolution (which I am not a believer in) than you have to assume that all traits are genetic. If all traits are genetic than homosexuality is inherited. If homosexuality is inherited than you would have a stop in that gene because all people possessing that gene in the dominant wouldn't procreate. SOOO, being homosexual is against the idea that all natural selection for breeding is based upon choosing a mate that you can have multiple healthy offspring with. Homosexuals do not produce any offspring.

Gay men and effeminate men are a reality, they were born that way and personally I have no problems with them. I do however think that for most of them, their choice of sexual orifice is manifested in their own minds, no one forces gay men to stick it there, they make the choice hemselves...and humans do have control over what goes on in their minds, so why did they choose that option? I have no doubts they find themselves attracted to the same sex, but that still relates back to whats going on in their minds......What most people dont get is why put your sperm up another mans bum? it makes no sense, and achieves no great outcome, produces no children, so whats the point? whats the objective?

I'll just make two quick, obvious points here: homosexuality is a forgivable sin according to the Christian bible. Try and deny that one when it says the only unforgivable sin is blaspheming the holy spirit.
Second, there's no way that a Christian can claim homosexuals aren't natural because they also claim that everything on this earth came from "god," so by that reasoning, so did homosexuality.
Now I'm off for a beer.

They argue by personal gratification, not natural selection. Since homosexual or oral/anal sex of any kind can't produce offspring it is wrong. This could put Christians in the wrong too, but lets get the homos first.

I've actually havent heard that argument used much.
I usually hear homosexuality is wrong because it's an abomination according to God.
It doesn't really matter to me anyway. In the end, I think the whole argument is pointless.

Homosexuality is not even close to evolution. Do gays have extra parts we don't know about? Fringe benefits of having even more messed up kids? You don't even have an arguement...
