Why does every die-hard Christian feel it's their right to try and convert others?
Did you ever take into consideration that a "non-believer" felt it was disrespectful when you went up to them and started speaking about Jesus and his teachings and his sacrifice, etc.?
Christianity is a religion practiced by a third of the world's population. Just about everyone has heard of Jesus. Whether we want to or not, we know about him and what he's all about. Hearing about Jesus one more time isn't going to change an individual's mind if they've firmly set in their head that they don't believe in a God, and they don't feel the need to be affiliated with any religion. It's called free will, it's a personal choice, just like you have the freedom to go to church every Sunday.
So the next time you come across a "non-believer," instead of approaching them as a "Christian who's been saved by the grace of the Lord," just approach them as a person?
And if Jesus works for you, that's excellent. I'm sure there are atheists who would think the same. But people get rude because of a single-minded additude. If you can't understand that there are people who really don't want to go to your church, or listen to your gospel, then you are at fault for that. People are probably sick of the Jesus talk, which is why they're rude when the topic comes up.
And I'm tired of typing in circles. Hopefully I proved my point in that block of text.

Isn't it interesting to see that everyone blamed only the Christians of being rude. I personaly have recieved emails that I was an idoit for some answers I gave about evolution/Creation. The ironic thing is that I have a degree in earth science and know the in depth lies of evolution.
I was told that by printing my answer I was being rude and insensitive. I thought I was answering the questions. I thought if he didn't want my answer he shouldn't have asked the question.
But I see even you blame the Christians. Ironicaly, most of the answers I read before I answered were mean, hateful and insensitive to Christians. I guess the statement is true that the only acceptable form of hate crime in the world is "Christian Bashing".
Also keep in mind that Jesus destroyed the money changers table in the Temple at the beginning and the end of His earthly ministry. Sometimes Jesus says "That is enough, no longer shall my people be persecuted".
Is it not idiotic of the non christians to think they are so right that they can degrade us but it becomes RUDE if we do it back. And yes, we should be more like Jesus, and try to take on the heart of God. But God destroyed the world with water and is coming back to destroy it with fire.
Athieism offers no hope or comfort, as it teaches that we are a bag of water and dirt. And that when we die we cease to exist. God told us the same thing, we are made of the elemants of the earth and one day we will return to it. However in God's plan our spirit will live for eternity. I have made my decision to be in heaven, where will you spend it. There is only two choices, heaven or the lake of fire.
Satan wants us to believe we will party with him in hell. According to the Bible satan has never and will never be in hell. He will be cast into the lake of fire with hell and death. We will all bow to the name of Jesus, now or later, but we will bow.
This is the reason that non believers think we are rude. Have you ever noticed how people respond to the truth, with hate, anger and bitterness. Non believers don't want to believe there is a God in heaven so that they do not have to be accountable for their actions. The worst part of the judgement is that the voice you hear convicting you is your own.
But Jesus came to die for our sins. Accept Him as Lord and Savior and you will spend eternity in heaven also. I prayer I will see you all there.
I know this because I was this way before Jesus saved me. Without Jesus I would be dead now. My fervant prayer is that this answer touches lives in a manner in which he will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Because, as Christians we are commanded by Jesus to preach the GOSPEL to EVERY living CREATURE on earth. That includes non believers. Sometimes fields must be replanted many times before the seed GROWS.
I think it is ironic that these people have stated that Christians should not try to convert others, while that is exactly what they are trying to accomplish in indoctrinating us into their RELIGION.
GOD BLESS

Convince a non believer by being nice, by showing them how Jesus makes a difference in our life.
Convince a non believer by being nice<--------- Bigotry is not a substitute for Acceptance.
Jesus makes a difference in our life?<--------- Although your perception of Jesus applies to you, this perception should not be applied to others. Other people have different beliefs and you need to accept that.

Some here are rude for the fun of it. If rude is all that you have gotten you are doing very well. Wait till you get threats and stalkers. There are some really scary people on this group. I wouldn't worry about a little rudeness.

I think we try to influence people and then end up having them influence us. There's a whole atmosphere of sarcasm, direspect, and anger on here, it's hard for christians not to get caught up in that. Either control yourself and speak with Love and Truth or don't speak at all.

it would seem to me that humour can be a bit of a problem for some christians...if im not mistaken, there is absolutely no humour at all in the bible...perhaps some christians may need to lighten up a bit...life is not always a tragedy...

It sure would help your case if you Christians were actually...y'know...Christ like.
Turn the other cheek, don't throw the first stone, etc.
Most of you people do nothing but convince atheists how right we are all day long with silly rhetoric and flaming answers.
