Where do people get the idea that killing Jesus or killing animals for sacrifice makes god love you.?

Jesus died so god will give you things.Get a sacrificial goat and cut its throat for god.Kill jesus so god wont hurt you.Next thing you will do is find a child and kill it all because of your dead jesus mixt up mess.

I've always found it bizarre. Where's the sacrifice in causing something else's suffering and death? A real sacrifice would be cutting ones own throat.

Well first, the idea comes from the Bible.

The fact that killing people and animals do not make God love you more. It is the state of repentence. Back in biblical times, when one disobeyed God, they sacrificed as close as a perfect animal that they can find. But when Jesus died for all of mankind, God planned it out so that we didn't have to sacrifice animals anymore because Jesus IS perfect. Not 'as close as you can get to perfect' but absolutley perfect.
